I'll give them that. No one should be using Unreal 4. It's a fucking cancer.

With that said, SE should have known not to use it either. Most AAA are using this engine after a stop start to quickly funnel a game through development after a previous iteration failed. (Most). Christ I think Hero Engine is better and that's saying something. Days gone suffered from this as well. Another problem with UE4 is that dialogue cannot be separated from the fucking channels and you cannot truncate sound durations either, unless you mix it before it enters the sound engine. Which means in a heavy game where you want to create a world environment with people, you get people talking all over each other and you cannot understand them because the audio is fire and forget. Talking over each other in the world happens profusely in this game while exploring. In days gone it was REALLY bad where you would be fighting and mission shit would come over your sound system at the same time and you couldn't hear jack fuck. One way SIE Bend tried to fix this, and finally gave up on, is in key Deacon dialogue moments, especially when having another passenger on his Bike, he would constantly be yelling while the other passenger was speaking normally just in case they overlapped because they had no control. This persisted a lot through the game and thought it might have the subjective impact of character stress level :p

In other words, this might be lessened in a patch but it won't go away.

But the importance you are placing on it, the walls of text you are writing about it and the frequency with you are doing it is disproportionate. Especially considering how much of the game is excellent.

Yeah except I was right and it's to the point that even Digital Foundry just spent 5 fucking minutes on the subject in a 15 minute video. Digital foundry blowing it out of proportion now as well?

I can't wait to see someone stream the game with the camera pointed at the floor and individual fence panels instead of the characters or the scene as a whole.

I wasn't judging or picking a side I don't have a dog in this fight. I was just pointing out you do this with damn near every major release that isn't offering god tier blowjobs

Not really. Days Gone, Witcher 3, Apex Legends, COD Warzone, Last of us 2, God of War, HZD, all fantastic games (I did rip on Days gone a page back but only because UE4 is the culprit) You just don't see me complaining because there isn't anything to complain about. I will definitely admit the most noise I toss out is a reaction to publishers/developers who lie their ass off in marketing skits, unethical business practices, or under-deliver what they stated - or gamers that try to downplay the impacts of shit design/white knight.

And anything that comes out of Bethesda.

It's one thing for someone to say, "You know what, those textures suck. Jesus I hope they fix it but I am still loving playing this anyway" than, "HAHA SORRY I AM NOT BUSY STARING AT A DOOR I AM HAVING SO MUCH FUN OH MY GOD GUYS BUY THIS. TEXTURES! HA! I AM TOO BUSY STARING AT TIFA'S TITS! LOOK AT THOSE TEXTURES!"

Sadly DQ8 for the 3DS is about as close as you'll get too a remaster, they did add alot of things too it, including a new ending, new dungeon(Memory Lane), alchemy pot is automatic from the start(Still gotta wait for it too be upgraded by Trode before doing advanced items), and more not much more then that, really.

Given that companies are remastering everything under the sun these days, why won't we get a DQ8 remaster on consoles? I'd like Crisis Core too, would have been a perfect time to do it with FF7R on the way.
