As a new player I am enjoying the MSQ. Yeah some steps are repetitive and pointless but it's Final Fantasy and its story flows as expected. My sole complaint is that I can't play mechanist which is the class I would like to take to cap first. But I am OK doing stuff as RDM too so it works out.

That's another thing they kinda fucked up, the HW unlocks are pretty bad. They corrected that after but HW stuff is still fucked, you can't get your HW skills withou going to Ishgard even though you will definitely hit 52 before that(can even hit like close to 60 with Road to 70) and you can't unlock AST/DRK/MCH for a really long time.

Yeah my bard is in low 50s and I have to go somewhere that's not unlocked for the next class quest. If not for RDM I do believe I would be salty. BTW level 58 and I am still on level 47 MSQ :D

god, started leveling ast, and made me feel so much better about taking sch to 80 first. As gutted as sch dps is, the Astro card changes are *horrible*, there’s no satisfaction or strategy to the mini card game now, it’s now just a lesson in casts per minute tediousness now. If you love pushing buttons then ast is for you I guess

There was no strategy before, you drew till you got balance and used it. The class has always been empty and unsatisfying. They need to change the dps buff timing. Like make it a minute cooldowns or 90 seconds and then the class will be useful. Right now there is basically no reason to take one. At 80 the scholar feels so much better then the AST.

I ended up tossing the $3 to the patreon to get priority log submissions. It was in queue for over an hour.

Edit: Looks like she added a "rDPS" column also. It shows your DPS adjusted for buffs from other classes and adds your contribution to your buffs. Dancers rejoice!

People keep squeeing about that E1 phase but I never got into FF8 since Squall is a faggot so I didn't get it. Someone linked this on discord so I guess the squeeing from the FF8 weebs make a little more sense:

Started crashing out due to dx11 errors. I've had one or two per week but now it crash every 5 minutes. Formated drive and reinstalled everything and crashes every 5 min.

Will try go down on my overclock on the CPU and see if thats the problem.

Did you autoupdate windows/gfx drivers? Reverting that shit might help.

Seems to be working now. CPU at 77C (170F) as max right now at 4.2ghz. So it was probably overheating at 4.5ghz. Did not check temperature with that setup. It's really warm for once right now outside and the computer probably needs a dust cleaning. :eek:

Looks about standard for a learning/practice party, lots of people who clearly never stepped inside. You do a lot of fuckups too and god would I be raging if you were in my group when I'm on melee and you'd position the boss like you do. I watched a couple of the first runs and then a couple of the last ones, there was definitely improvement over time but then a bunch of the shitters couldn't do adds, which is generally where most progression stops until people stop being shit so yeah.

I can say that Titan week 2 was easier than Titan week 1. Week 1 pub wiped like 20 times. Week 2 pub 1 shot him.

Helps a lot when the healers know how to avoid the mechanics lol

It was mostly during first mist runes where for some reason the boss wouldn't be in the center because you got hit by purple aoe or moved around or whatever, and then seeing people not being able to melee the damn boss cause it's completely off position even though you have like 12seconds to move it properly before you have to stand on your rune(granted they could be meleeing and moving to their rune later too). When you've played a melee with lots of positionals like MNK, it helps a lot to try to understand how to tank with melee uptime in mind and not fuck them over. Same is true the other way, playing tanks gives you good insight on how the boss will reposition after tank swaps or whatever so you can do positionals better during movement. Well until some fuckface decides to rotate the boss for no fucking reason(looking at you shitter tanks on innocence, there's no cleave why are you rotating the boss motherfuckers just stand still).

Anyway yeah it looked about how you'd expect from a learning party, The first pull was hilariously bad too luckily I guess someone actually fixed it, but in the first pull there was a WHM in the melee left spot and the Dragoon was in a corner lol.

Also you can Holmgang the Fae Lights, although I'm not 100% sure how it works on WAR. I think you have to mitigate first so you don't die(vengeance+raw intuition I assume is enough), then holmgang the next 2. Lets you solo tank it this way.
