Admittedly, I would have been happier had we gone with a less populated server simply because of queues/forum bros not being able to join. But I'm happy with what we've got, and I don't think I feel like rerolling(lol) to another server at this point. Plus I just got my F'n chocobo.

Beo, just wait till you need to get a subclass to 15. The fate groups near Limsa Lominsa are going to be worth their weight in gold. On a sub-population server it's going to be ass and on Giga they'll always be happening. It is worth the initial bullshit right now.

Oh yeah, I'm glad I'm in and doing stuff. I just feel for the folks who weren't able to get in during one of the windows and haven't gotten the chance to be a part of it yet. But with the GC unlock/choco obtained, it's time to settle into leveling all the tradeskills and the gathering classes up.

Realms are up, but Gilgamesh is still locked. It kinda sucks, as was looking forward to joining up. I don't really want to let the early access slip by though and the floodgates to open without putting some time into getting my character the fuck out of newbie central, so I guess I'm gonna roll solo on Siren for the foreseeable future. Really shitty planning on their behalf, imo.

Servers down all day yesterday when I could play. Then went to bed thinking I could play when I woke up, but servers just went down.
Early access = stress test.
But, @ "Rage, I want to play the game, but I can not play the game, so I will cancel my ability to play the game!". Wut?
I would rather pay more to get access to the game servers than cancel my pre order. If there was an extra server that was the "maintenance server" always on during maintenance, at a few dollars extra per month, I'd probably buy that option. Not felt this need to log in since EQ...... ..... Maybe I should cancel....
i thought marlboro was kinda the #2? people had talked about it in this thread earlier so I rolled there when Gilg was locked. I haven't bothered to look for anyone in game though.

Not saying this as a joke. Tried playing it with a controller? I have never played a mmo with a controller before, but any console game I have played, I am fairly used to clicking the same buttons over and over, hell 50% of any Final Fantasy game is the X button. Leaning back and just pressing the buttons that are far into my motor memory feels natural. Be it 12121212 (xbxbxbxbxb) or any other combo. It also means swapping the hotbar a few times, and pressing L2 + button, to change the target filter, so it does have some variety that I think the Keyboard+mouse button does not have. Aside the problems with keeping up with chatting, just running around questing by yourself feels very enjoyable with a controller, and I have not yet felt like I am repeating simple button presses.
I am the first to say keyboard + mouse is better, and consolitis in PC games suck, but this game has a really good console controller adaptation. If you feel that way about your class feeling button spammy, suggest trying a controller out. Not hard to change back to KB if you do not like it.
