No they pretty much suck. The rest of the game is great, but I totally agree on fates. I remember finding "dynamic events" in Rift to be a lot of fun at first but as time went on it became more and more lame. I really don't enjoy the concept at all anymore. Chain killing with small groups, running instances, and doing story quests is where it's at.Do they FATES ever not suck? I'm only 15 and so far they have been huge faceroll clusterfucks.
I think I enjoy them the least so far out of everything. I'm only 15 though, so hoping they get more interesting than what they currently are.
There's nothing fun about them at all to me.
The names are purple. We like purple stuff right?Do they FATES ever not suck? I'm only 15 and so far they have been huge faceroll clusterfucks.

That's the only redeeming factor about them. When you get 12,000 exp for 4 minutes of playing, it's pretty awesome. There are probably some fun ones though. I know that one Malboro in East Shroud (SE corner, Lazy Laurence?) that you need an 8 person group to spawn, is at least a fun spawn dynamic.Fates stop sucking when you realize you just made a shit ton of exp for a few minutes work.
Story quests unlocks dungeons, mounts, banks etc. Always do your story quests! How do you unlock the first dungeon?
What about the scholars actually healing then ? Fine with focusing on tank myself and then letting the pet top off the group as needed. The pet isn't that strong - it's mainly good for mitigating/healing damage done to your DPS group members. It definitely can't near keep up heals on the tank during bosses or large pulls, and that's just from experience in Haukke Manor.
