Yeah, I think its just a matter of them balancing out the duty finder battle groups a bit more since most of the disconnect issues are when you are trying to get into an instance. Other than that the game runs well. As long as were not camping the log in screen or setting up scripts to log in, its all good IMO. The rest of the shit they will iron out.

Checked at 9am, all servers were open. Kreugen Rumslayer should be sitting around afk at the start area on Gilgamesh by now, I just ran the num0 script to get him through the intro while I got on with life and pondered if I really care enough to start over.

I made a homo bard so I can spend time watching tranny porn while my bot script stands around in a pile of non-aggro, non-assisting korean MMO mobs leveling itself.

I overheard this wonderful conversation in shout, regarding how ez-mode wow-noobs will all quit in a week because of how hard core and non-handholding the game is. I laughed so hard my ballsack burst. Up to 35 I think the only way I could die in this game is autorunning off of a cliff. I understand people want to validate their chosen MMO by bashing the Big Popular Game, but that level of delusion goes well beyond fanboy lunacy. No one has even died in a dungeon yet, ffs. I don't even look at my fucking HP bar, ever. I was shocked once to notice I was under 50% health and realized I was fighting a mob 8 levels higher than me, on my level 10 conjurer wearing lv1 starting clothes. Every time someone shouts for a res, I think "WTF HOW!?"

Anyway, it made me laugh was all.

Yesterday was my real first day of playing this game. I was able to make a character on Gilgamesh. I played my bard to level 15 without getting kicked out the game. By the way talk about a fun class. Really loving the game. It's the most beautiful MMO I ever played.
This... Now that i'm able to get in consistently and play on my time and schedule, it made the game that much better for me.

Oh, another good one. People saying the 4 man-group was a smart and good thing to do, because DPS is more fun to play and people should be forced to play tanks and healers because those things are less fun. This makes 4 man groups superior to 5 or 6 because in those games DPS are punished less and are allowed to have fun playing the class they want to play instead of being forced to play a class that don't like because they don't have a 3 hour chunk of time to dedicate to queuing and running each dungeon.

This makes sense, because fanboys are fucking retarded.

Having started over on Faire...I hit 42. Stone Vigil was pretty damn fun. The room of death (that 2 sprite 3 dragon room) was our only wipe. Tanking it was pretty fun the 1st time, with the little surprises, and the extra roamers.

Not a fan of the last boss. The ice breath when he flies is a PITA, since it shows up white on the snowy backdrop.

I kind of feel like they don't need an afk kick anymore. I haven't had any issues logging in. I may change my mind this weekend when shit's full again, but we'll see.

And yeah, lots of people really like Stone Vigil. Seems like it's the first dungeon that actually provides a challenge. Those ice sprites are the worst. There's a FATE in Coerthas (right outside that western city) that spawns tons of them. AoE in that FATE is deadly because they'll all just start nuking you.

I wiped us by putting on the resistance debuff song with the Ziz treasure room and pull them, the deathroom was actually easy for us with sleep. I enjoyed the last boss, the frost stuff didn't seem too bad as it was telegraphed to be coming (though we had center, center, center, "right" for it).

Yeah, I had 2 bards. Those Dragons are immune to damn near anything.

Theres no reason not to have an AFK kicker.. If they add that, get the cap to 10k+ then there should really, never be a queue... Everybody is happy.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of this as well, which if funny to see in this game given how straightforward it's been so far. The most punishing non-end game content I've seen in recent years was in Rift, which is the game that most resembles FF so far in terms of mechanics, class systems etc. (at least to me). The most defining features of FF so far have been that it looks really nice and it scratches a jrpg itch (I find the dialog hilarious in a very nostalgic way).

I'll reserve judgment on end game difficulty until I see it, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if they can offer up challenges on par with some of WoW's heroic raiding; wish the raids were bigger though.

I've avoided most of the login and stability issues so the overall experience has been positive so far - my biggest gripe probably remains the 2.5 sec GCD, which I haven't gotten used to at all yet as melee. Maybe gear will shorten this significantly later.

Just curious... how many guys do you have on in the Gilgamesh Company? Wondering how split up we are across 2-3 servers now that some of the dust has settled.

We had 165 total last night. Generally around 90-100 on at prime time.
I realize it's still the first free month... but jesus that's big. Anyone know what the SA/Gaymers/Reddittors numbers look like?

SA has 1 full FC of 512, plus an overflow. You haven't been able to create a character there since like...15 minutes into beta 4, so we have several smaller goons populations spread out (like 5-50 people on random servers or something).

I just hopped on to the last page: You can script your way through the starter area/quest thing? Haha
