I'll be buying a PS4 regardless, so I may as well try this since i already own a Vita. Neato~Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will support remote play on PlayStation 4.
Game director Naoki Yoshida made the announcement to Famitsu (via Kotaku), suggesting it would be ideal for when you can't play with others and just want to relax and level through gathering or crafting.
Yoshida still thinks you'll want to experience the more exciting social aspects of the game like raids and dungeons on a bigger screen though, explaining, "But like, when you're all, 'let's form a party and go to a dungeon!,' then you go sit in front of your monitor and enjoy playing that on a big screen. In that regard, you can choose your play style.
"Depending on whether you feel like playing at a certain time or on a certain day, you can select between relaxing play or giving it your all. I think expanding those options is itself something new."
Originally announced at the PlayStation 4 reveal event back in February, Sony told IGN that remote play functionality would be available day one. Whether this is still the case remains to be seen.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be available on PlayStation 4 next year.
1) You are enjoying the FFXIVAs much as I'm enjoying the game , old school feel in some ways , and compared to the absolute shit that's been released the past few years and none of the current "big" games about to come out in spring that I've done betas in both are anything I'm going to play at all ( wow with space guns and ESO ), I can see myself playing this at least through beginning of next year.
Many who have actually played it were very unimpressed, myself included. They are doing a great job of marketing, but actually playing the game isn't really fun at all. Combat is mildly entertaining for 5-30 minutes until the double tap to dodge is no longer new. The quests are your usual terrible WoW clone stuff. The gear, the classes, everything feels like a designed for F2P WoW clone that for some reason will have a subscription. It is the same game that everyone has been playing for the past decade done in a mediocre fashion. Instead of making combat actually fun or classes actually interesting or anything along those lines, they have just been adding a laundry list of other "cool things" that are also likely not well implemented.Whats wrong with wildstar? Honest question, I have not been reading up on it but I thought it was gonna be the next big thing.
All WS needs really is Paul Barnett being it's head PR guy now , it feels like a game that fits him trying to push it.It feels like WoW, Rift, Tera, and EQN has a bastard child.
Its fun though you should try it !! Selling a beta key on Gilga though for 250k Gil
I should of went the PLD route but I honestly thought there would be a million of them so instead I decided on WAR. Damn did I get that backwards. Oh well Ill finish the WAR and then go back and do the PLD thing I guess.I was trying to watch some people play Wildstar at PAX but it looked increeeeeeeeeedibly boring, so i didn't bother waiting in line to try it out lol.
back on topic, i'm aiming for my paladin job this weekend, currently 21glad/13conj, my body wants dat paladin tag!
Lol someone says they didn't like it and now your opinion is "oh I didn't know it sucked so bad". Do people not have minds of their own and just follow the masses/sheep?Wow, I didnt know it sucked so bad, damn. I was looking forward to that one. Its nice that this ffxiv came around as a surprise though.
Can both queue as tanks. Why bother?I should of went the PLD route but I honestly thought there would be a million of them so instead I decided on WAR. Damn did I get that backwards. Oh well Ill finish the WAR and then go back and do the PLD thing I guess.
"That's a 50 DKP MINUS!"Hahaa! Check this nerd rage out...
Yea but you only get the questing once and then you are put into an eternal servitude of FATEs for levelling alts.Lol someone says they didn't like it and now your opinion is "oh I didn't know it sucked so bad". Do people not have minds of their own and just follow the masses/sheep?
Also I find it funny, that its "the same ol boring quest from WoW" yet here we are in ffxiv doing the exact same shit but its "old school feeling". These forums crack me up.
THIS!crafting in this game is hilarious/retarded, be prepared to write a few AHK/g15 scripts. It literally is just buy a few stacks of mats from the vendor, figure out the optimal key sequence so you don't hit 0 dura, then let it loop for hours (a good 30-60 secs for one item). Single synth gives 5-10x more xp than quick synth, and you get great XP for trivial shit, so yeah just let it rip. I'm sure at higher levels it'll require you to prefarm/buy mats and then do the macroing and run levee quests, but pretty dumb so far up to the level 25s.
