Not following any sheep here. It was an honest question, have not been following the game much. I assumed it was the next big thing by all the hype and was surprised to hear negativity, thats all, relax bro. No ones leading any sheep here. I actually didnt pay any attention op to this point because I dotn like the cartoony shit, but to each their own. If it ends up being a good game, ill be the first to try it.

On the quest thing, at least this game gives you options. Yeah you gotta do your main story and class quests, and yeah sometimes it gets a bit tedious with all the running around and shit, but other than that you are free to do whatever you want for exp. I dont see quest hub to quest hub with 100 quests each to collect choco-asses here. Hunting logs, company hunting logs, leves, company leves, fates, dungeon finder, quests, and yes even some grinding if you like. But yeah its a typical themepark mmo with some new additions.

Figured out the solution to the problem i was wondering about, how i was going to afford to gear up alts when i level them since theres no quests left and i took all the cash rewards.

If you are doing fates, just dont replace your gear if you are a dps!

In the past 2 years I have had an iPhone, an S3, a Windows phone, and I just purchased an HTC ONE.

All the phones have their benefits and all are very well made. I picked up the HTC ONE and I have found my "perfect" phone. I can't really explain why. It just feels right


I can't really explain why I enjoy FFXIV so much. It just feels right. I think there are plenty of people here who have said the same thing in different wording.

Getting my new video card soon from newegg, hopefully by the time I get that and my work week is over (next tues) they will have reopened Digital Download. I guess I should be happy that I can't play right now so I don't have to deal with a failed launch. But I'm still itching to play. Loved every minute of beta.

I don't know.. I think there will be some drop off as I said earlier but I think people will stick it out with this game only because of the feel. I give it 3 months before anything significant happens. I believe the crossroad will come sometime in November and/or December. If they are not patching in content and making it worth people's while at the end game, you can mark down December into January being the mass exodus. You always have the post 30-day drop off for every game but I don't think it will be quite as bad as the last few MMO's to release.

FYI, if you're willing to go physical box the Square Enix store still has them apparently. I just ordered one from them today and just got the package shipped notice.

Does have PS3, but I haven't had much issue finding the PS3 version in stores anyway.

So what's with the cash flow in game? Sure I can make money selling to suckers on the marketplace, but it feels like there's more $$$ leaving the server (market fees, transport/repair costs) than is coming in. I mean I'm killing stuff in my 30s and it drops 2 gil. Just fighting that one mob probably costs more than that in repairs.

At the point where I need to choose a Grand Company. I realize the gear has slightly different stats based on the GC but is the GC gear something you are going to have for a while at end game? Twin Adders has the better gear for my main class but I really don't like them. Does it really matter?

I discovered today that my mouse also works on my PS3, but as far as i can tell you can't switch to normal hotbars, which makes it all moot. Anyone find an option that i've missed?

Only the weapons, which I think have the same stats. Even then you don't keep it super long, Ifrit is easy to farm even in pubs. So pick whatever.

They really do need to ton down the port costs. And the fuck if im choco'ing and taking air ships all that way and taking an extra 20 min each time you want to switch cities.

I want to play this game. I've let my wife play it for a bit while I was busy with some things at work. She really likes it and I enjoyed the beta. Alas, the digital store is down. I just want a fucking key. I can make a backup of her files and transfer it to my computer. I'm not buying a physical box! This isn't 2004!

A stupid amount like 10 or something. All HM primals give that for whatever reason. If you want stones, run amdapor or wanderer or even the story instances(but those are a mixed bag, sometimes people watching cutscenes, sometimes people raging at people watching cutscenes and such, I wouldn't pug it).

How the fuck can you release an MMO these days without a built in gold spam filter. One bot is spamming /shout every 0.5 seconds with this huge 6 line macro. They don't even blockwww.goldor whatever. Amazing. It's annoying having to cut/paste and blist. Should at the minimum be able to right click their name.

The lack of cash is bugging me too. For how expensive everything is, once the quests dry up....how do you make cash?

Lol when i did praetorium we had 2 people dead for all 3 of the last fights, same pair who watched every cutscene, i assume they just went afk for most of the instance.
