As Nehrak mentionned, find a better weapon. I don't know how "fresh" you are, but when you hit 50 you have these options:
- GC i55 weapon, this is garbage but it's "free" and easy to get.
- Relic precursor i55, this is also garbage and is more expensive, but you'll most likely want to buy one for the relic quest anyway. Getting it crafted is cheaper. Aeolian Scimitar for Paladin, Barbarian's Bardiche for War.
- Giantsgall i70 crafted weapons, these are relatively cheap if you know an alchemist who can craft them, around 10-15k or so in mats and they're a good starting point, but if you don't know anyone, they're not worth the price they're sold at generally.

After those, you want to start your Relic quest. You need to finish the main story arc(empire stuff) and your lvl 50 class quests obviously to start this in North Shroud. It's a bunch of tasks, takes a bit of time and culminates with killing the 3 main primals on hard mode. Need i57 for titan(though you'll get a bunch of soldiery on the way for first time dungeons, which you should use on belt then jewelry to boost your ilvl asap). If you have a decent FC, people should help you on these, it's very good soldiery with first time bonus and doesn't take too long. Relic is an i80 weapon.

From there, 2 choices. You either spend 450soldiery upgrading your relic to i90 then farm atmas for a few hours to upgrade it to i100 OR you get to i70 doing the easy dungeons/roulettes, do Labyrinth of the Ancients to unlock Syrcus Tower, get an Unidentified Allagan Tomestone there, get 1300soldiery and buy a i100 soldiery weapon which you can then upgrade to 110 with another ST drop(Sands of Time). Considering you'll probably be doing ST for a while to gear up, I'd recommend the 2nd option as the first tends to be a waste of time and soldiery unless you want to complete the relic quest, but it's grindy as all fuck and there's good chances you won't be done before the expansion unless you play a lot and have high tolerance for bullshit RNG grinds.

For the fastest i70, short of spending stupid money on shitty gear, you'll want to do first time completion of the easy dungeons, all the roulettes you can and spend all those soldiery on upgrading your belt and jewelry(as a tank, get a tank ring and a str DPS ring too). It shouldn't take long. Also run Labyrinth asap to unlock ST, you might get lucky on drops in there. You can also farm that if you want for drops.

There never was a hard requirement for T5 to buy soldiery weapons. Coil is its own thing, the only requirements it has is to clear T5 to get access to second coil and T9 to get access to final coil, but other than that it's an entirely separate questline that has no bearing on anything else. Crystal Tower is also its own thing, different, where you need to do labyrinth to unlock ST, and where you'll need to do ST to unlock World of Darkness next patch(tomorrow hype).

What there was and where you might be confused is during 2.2, the UAT(unid allagan tomestone) only dropped in second coil, which requires T5 clear, and clearing T7. However in 2.3, they added UATs to ST(it was a rare drop and ST still had a lockout back then) and in 2.38 they added another drop and made it a guaranteed drop. So since 2.3, you haven't needed to do coil to get that weapon. In 2.4, they even removed the lockout, so now pretty much half the group or more passes on UAT cause they're so common, making them really easy to acquire in ST.

There's the same situation currently with the poetics weapons, it drops in T11 and nowhere else atm, so in theory you need to clear coil to get it. However it might be added next patch to WoD(it's still unclear wether they're adding it now or waiting until 2nd part or whatever).

For macros, I'd recommend checking guides, it really depends on what you wanna do. I don't use too many of them, mostly stuff like /ac "Virus" <tt> /ac "Virus" <t> so it casts on both target of target and target, when I'm targetting the tank while healing and such, or /ac "Swiftcast" /ac "Resurrection", that kind of stuff. Macros don't queue so they're not really great to use unless you're using them in specific cases. You can put a bunch of off GCD abilities on them for example and spam that key during GCD to fire whatever, but you don't want to put off GCD abilities on all your main abilities because that slows your DPS by not queuing correctly. Also a nice command is /micon(or /macroicon), which shows the icon/cooldown of the ability you put into quotes after, like /micon "Virus".

You do need a PS3 to activate that version I'm told, so if you don't have one/can't use a friend's, you're better off buying the PS4 version.

I wanna say it's because it's synced with japan, but it's almost as bad since it's down basically all day until like 8 or 9PM. I think regardless if you go for 12hours downtime, it's gonna suck, and since the servers are international, there's no good way to do it. Unless you're euro, then it's 11PM-11AM, which is acceptable(or midnight-noon for me). But we still don't have euro servers so eh.

They might post the full patch notes before you guys go to bed though, at which point you'll see exactly everything you should buy if you were to wake up in the middle of the night for it. By the time you play tomorrow evening, the markets will be ruined.

Sealants is going to stagnate/go down. BC3 might go up for a few days, but will crash back down soon enough, the new weapons are pure cosmetics, a bunch of them look like shit and BC3s aren't rare.

Markets fairly stable, some stuff went up due to new tools and shit(mostly those stupid GC seals materials), but they didn't add huge money makers, crafting wise. New artisan chest is nice I guess but it won't be much better than the other parts for very long(and uses the same mats), aetherwheel is pointless shit and easy to craft, the rest is mostly housing stuff. Maybe the new jewelry, though not sure how many people are going to buy these considering the price on materias to put on them.
