I've never had that happen. Are you sure they are scabs? Could they be ticks or fleas or ear mites maybe? I'm assuming you'd know if they were bugs, but just asking.

If they really are scabs, that's a new one for me. You said face, so I'm assuming not the back of his head or anything. They usually don't do anything to their face. Any way to get a pic?
