Veeshan's Peak was in Skyfire Mountains.Probably 10 seconds like most sticks.
IN all, I think the most succesful one was the Cleric. God, kill me if I ever have to go to plane of wastes (wastes? it was where veeshan's peak was) to kill some shit for orbs? again
During Vanilla, there was an instant click Complete Heal monk glove. Treant Fists or something. Anyway, only a few of them were ever completed in their unlimited charges form, and those monks went and beat every non DTing raid boss we had. It was pretty special. The greater heal staff from VP was god mode when it was instaclick.
Yea, you are thinking of Skyfire. That version of Ragefire in Skyfire was actually the "nerfed" version. Before that, he would pop in Naggy's lair and you had the whole mess of clerics camping Naggy's lair for him.Probably 10 seconds like most sticks.

I walked around with some other skull staff during this time. Forget the name, but it had right click fear on it. All the time people would give me congrats on getting my epic even though it was a totally different item. I know for a really, really long time only one necro on our server had one.
Ya I dont remember that. I know monks used to be able to wear rubicite in beta.During Vanilla, there was an instant click Complete Heal monk glove. Treant Fists or something. EDIT: Found them -Treant Fists :: Items :: EverQuest :: ZAM
The guys I talked to from Triton in random irc channels/botb etc all seemed pretty cool, I just dont remember any other guild leaders/officers being dicks like that trying to get other uber guilds on other servers banned for stuff. We kind of had the idea that, well, fuck Verant/SOE etc because even when we did find things that were legal (ie dictate charming to kill AoW) they got all huffy with us acting like it was some exploit. Sorry we broke your game because you didnt think of how powerful stuff like that was. It was only when it was used outside of xp/loot farming that they took it seriously. No we were not like that at all. Furor and Thott used to hang in our officer chat all the time shooting the shit about the game and what sploits were getting used. Tigole was mostly gone by that point. Koryo did once I think around PoP but he seemed like a robot. The competition between our guilds was generally friendly because we were on different servers. We had ZERO competition on Povar after Harmonium split to Xev. The only guild that was close to as at one point was Rising Ascension, and we convinced them to take the "Seru path" in SoL and we'd take the Emperor path then swap. Of course we had info that told us Seru did not matter. They got so far behind they never recovered and died and their core of good players joined us.
That was one of the few things about EQ that I still love, even in retrospect - not retroactively nerfing things. It made for the occasional extremely rare, extremely sought after item. That was the pre-nerf Fungi Staff. Basically the same version as the Shm / Dru only version, but pre-nerf was castable from inventory by any class. They were very rare and I paid millions of plat for one on my Necro. In fact, I still have it to this day on my AB server Necro account. I was testcopying them over for guildies when I was screwing around on Test server for a while.
Yea, I used to collect as much of this stuff as I could. Pre-nerf Circlet of Shadow (insta-cast invis from inventory for Nec / SK) was a huge one too. Before it was nerfed, they went for maybe 2k at best. They cost a small fortune shortly after up until they gave away the same ability with AA.That was one of the few things about EQ that I still love, even in retrospect - not retroactively nerfing things. I think Cam posted hisThe one thing I never actually ever saw in person was a Mosscovered Twig.
Speaking of, I felt that their uniqueness was cheapened with the addition of the Casino.Holgresh beads for necros was awesome! I could lifetap and get health back when the boss or whatever was Magic immune. Looking at you Emperor.
They were awesome for monk pullers also.Holgresh beads for necros was awesome! I could lifetap and get health back when the boss or whatever was Magic immune. Looking at you Emperor.
