I'm colorblind so I don't know what color/fluid that stain is from, but this shit ain't too uncommon.

I've seen it twice, with a 3rd time being a similiar effect (maybe just because of the colorblind issue).What is it from? A body putrefying on the carpet?
The 1st was a combination of decomposition and sepsis/pitting edema. Basically, everything juicy went from inside to outside.
The 2nd was a trauma that happened elsewhere, and ended inside a few hours later.
The 3rd was a case of neglect, where the body outline was urine and feces. Sad story, happy ending.

From my not at all expert opinion, I'm going with the 1st. Especially since the colours under the torso are still reddish/yellowish where everything else is brown. I'm guessing that part was kept moist because it was under the body and didn't get a chance yet to dry into the dark brown colour. Also looks bloated. Do I win?

It's convincing except there's too little damage to the carpet. Direct stains, without spreading means you'd be peeling that fucker up off the carpet like a piece of gum, and you'd either need to cut it away, or leave some flesh behind.
