Fuck, why doesn't he buy himself one. Also, just because you grew up somewhere or you came from someplace "poor", doesn't also mean you can't be some dickhead who currently lives in a $5,000,000 mansion pretending that you can relate to people who make 6 or less figures a year. Actually, copper conducts better than gold, so gold wiring would require more cross-sectional area for the same amount of current. Gold plating is used on the exposed terminals because it doesn't form a non-conductive oxide layer. Silver would be the best conductor, but oxidizes far too readily.
