Yeah idky games include ugly female MCs - its okay for side chars to be ugly but you cant have ugly female mains. Females who make female chars usually make them look like theyre about to work corners or walk down the runway.
This not being on PC is a huge miss. However this may be a title worthy of purchasing a console for me. I will just have to wait till after reviews are out. By then i suspect the PS5 Pro will be out and an updated Xbox if they have any plans for one.
Painting chick similarity is amusing.

i can't tell if expedition 33 is action combat ala dark souls / lies of P / etc or turn based action like final fantasy remake, looks sorta turn based?

Yes, but it also comes from MS and their request that games do not have females with exaggerated proportions, which probably also includes unrealistic beauty.

Kind off interesting. We complain a lot about lack of originality, but then the vast majority of responders want to see Capcom reboot IPs. Gotta get to 7th to see a complaint about lack of new IPs.
WTF is Not In Here? That swept the remake category.
Overall people voted for Exhilarating Gameplay followed closely by Unique and Attractive Characters. US slightly favors gameplay, Japan wants hot anime chicks more than better gameplay.
Got to drop down to 7th before women pick a woman as a favorite character. Not really surprising? Although they had every Capcom character to choose from. A lot of preference to Jill Valentine over others. Chun Li showed up on a list but can’t find it now.
Cool to see all the stats. Glad Monster Hunter was up on some of them. Surprised Dino Crisis was so high. I remember playing that in the arcade in the 90s but never on a console.

The biggest shock to me here was Monster hunter is not bigger. I thought that was more popular. It does have a larger female player base then most capcom games.
Interestingly, Capcom pushing monster hunter so much is clearly a reflection of them caring about Japanese audience more then the global one, despite profits.
