Getting slop isnt even a question now. We can blame the developers, but fuck.. we'll probably get some Hodge podge of shit from AI too because they are mandated to be DEI themselves by the same fucks that are making transgender cartoons now.
What I am intrigued with, and at the same time concerned with is that regardless of who started it (Facebook etc.) .. our data has been getting harvested for years now. Anything from personal information, health information, financial information, etc. All the way over to Chat logs, facial structure, body outline and voice recognition software across multiple services. Each time one service becomes popular, it gets a wealth of new information added to what will eventually become a central AI Hosting network.
Imagine for a moment your favorite MMO - you could log into it this very second and be greeted like you never left it. Like it was still the most popular game in the world. Where no one quit the game, and you knew everyone. Your boy Joe was killed in a Car Wreck, but you never knew that - his character is still playing that MMO. He's still logging into Discord (when you log into Discord). You have no idea you're raiding in a group of 15 AI players and 4 actual players. In fact, you dont really care because you're having a great time being stuck in that moment. But from time to time you do start to notice patterns or start to feel manipulated. Imagine your guild mates ask you to take a guild photo after a boss, which seems pretty normal. But then all 15 of those bots pop out on the brand new $65 cash shop mount. Guilt tripped into it? Thats up to you, but it'll probably depend a whole hell of a lot how enamored you are with the system.
In fact.. the way we're headed, you can recall back to what was said in the original Matrix. "...And many of them are so inured and so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it."
We could be playing slop, but slop is a whole lot more tolerable when you're with friends.
