But you're the exact audience that uses the word. The guy calling out Asmon for being a grifter, for example - he goes on to explain at the end of the video that Dragon Age is the "McDonalds" compared to Elden Ring as the "Steak." I mean, is it really the true version of grifting when someone is just mincing words at that point? The game sucks with or without tranny shit in it. But lets not pretend that the game beating you over the head with pronouns made it any better. Thats not "Grifting."

Nope, you've become desensitized to it. There's grifters on the left and a certain degree of grift inherent to coded academic language, but leftists aren't hawking nonsense supplements and dick pills with every podcast all while claiming they're "being silenced!"

I have seen the right doing this but nowhere near the religious level the left has been doing from MSM. The right that I’ve engaged with are willing to at least discuss a topic, where the left simply can’t. It makes me think that while they may agree with something on a podcast, it’s because they truly align with the topic rather than just parroting what podcast bro said.
As examples, my dad was having absolute meltdowns when I was questioning the bullshit Russia crap he was sending me from buzzfeed, and if I questioned some bullshit Fox News was saying it wouldn’t even register that I was questioning it. He would act like I was agreeing with Fox on something when I was point blank saying I disagreed with it. My sister was the same, other leftist women in my neighborhood were the same. They all finally said they just couldn’t talk about politics with me because I was brainwashed, even though I was telling them I was not reading the brainwash MSM shit from either side. I’ve never had someone in the center or on the right tell me they can’t talk politics because I disagreed with one of their topics.
Also, are you really saying leftists don’t run ads on their podcasts or YouTube’s? Are you fucking kidding me?

Anyway, I edited my post to make it less partisan. You're right, there's a lot of bullshit to go around on the internet. The internet makes us all worse people. But some of us still have a working bullshit detector. The right is generally more shameless and transactional with their bullshit while the left tries to obscure it with academic language and exalt it with appeals to institutional authority.
For all Asmongold's many faults, I think he's good at calling out grift and bullshit. So when I see a tweet like that, I get afraid he's going to start taking a grifter pivot similar to someone like Matt Tiabbi (who has since pulled himself back a bit.)
Let's bookmark this post and see how long it takes Asmongold to start hawking supplements or something similar.

I’m no Asmon fanboi but I don’t think he will. I don’t think he really cares about his money that much cause he’s an autistic weirdo and doesn’t have nice stuff or spend much. He still eats trash food cause it’s cheap. Still lives in his disgusting house and doesn’t hire a cleaning service. He has it invested and says just the investment gains makes more than he needs/wants. I saw some show where he said he spends less than 1% of what he makes. Doesn’t monetize his twitch channel, etc. he could be probably be making 10x what he currently makes but doesn’t care enough to do it.

Yeah the supplements are cringe and I tend to unsub from people doing that.
But Hasan Piker is getting regular advertising money from Twitch while literally playing "lets kill the jews" music from Hamas/Hezbollah.
Carl Benjamin had to rebrand and build an alternate revenue network because he used a rape reference to show contempt of a feminist politican and got demonitised on YouTube repeatedly.
So it's not really a fair comparison to call the right grifters because the left achieved institutional capture and forced them to resort to that to fund themselves.
This is correct. Asmongold isn't running ads to improve the experience of his audience, so he's the last person to add in ads like that.
