Looks good enough to me. Definitely a Feig movie with nods to the original Ghostbusters. Only issue with the trailer is that they called out 4 scientists when it's really 3 scientists and a blue collar person.

Looks decent. I'm glad they are embodying the 4 archetypes without making a direct copy of the original characters.
They replaced the firehouse with a Chinese restaurant... which explains why there was so many days of filming in Chinatown here in Boston last summer.

Held judgement till I saw some actual footage but guess I'll forever remain a hater after the trailer, will catch it on HBO or something later. All the humor looks like every Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy movie with the "lets put in 8 or 9 back forth quips off one joke" premise they always use which to me is making a paranormal version of The Heat or Bridesmaids. The entire Ghostbusters series is to close my heart growing up and to me was the quintessential team of outsider guy friends and this just still looks like pandering, if they wanted an all female cast make a spin-off with a slightly different premise but don't tread on hallowed ground.
Hopefully the other Ghostbusters movie that was in the pipe as well will be a worthy successor but for now the Ghostbusters game on ps3/pc is the last true Ghostbusters project to me.

From the looks of that trailer, they're treating it as a sequel, right? 30 years ago the GBs saved the city, then something happened and they disbanded. Now these girls are taking up the mantle. I like that a lot better than trying to remake it. Because for one thing, it means the original cast can make cameos.

No shine, no chrome, will not witness. (Seriously, that trailer looks...bad. Did the one chick start dual wielding against the ghosts? I mean, shit, maybe this will be a 21 Jump Street and be a lot better than the trailer indicates, but I'm for sure not going to see it unless it gets rave word of mouth. )

I can't imgaine this is going to be a good movie. It might not be the horrible abortion that I thought it was going to be... but... maaaan... it's just not going to be good.
This movie without the ghostbuster name on it might be halfway OK. It's putting that ghostbusters expectation on it that is going to ruin it.
I guess Wiig is the smart one, and the Egon looking one is the quirky slutty one. If Black actors wanted to get pissed about something, making the black woman the streetwise pseudo-voodoo subway attendant is probably worth an eyeroll or two. They're already telling you that there isn't gonna be anything to it except for insipid tropes.

Maybe if the movie was called Paranormal Hilarity or something other than fucking Ghostbusters i might be a little more friendly towareds this movie, but that trailer embodies everything wrong with hollywood these days. buy name, film a piece of shit copycat with said name as its banner , throw in some winks and nods from original IP. spend more time crafting the trailer than crafting a good movie, then send it all out the door and gets started on the next trainwreck.

Honestly I can't tell. I at first thought it was a sequel but then after seeing the trailer it looks more like a remake. The one thing I can say is, that trailer really sucked. The original Ghostbusters is probably one of the best summer blockbusters ever and you're remaking it.
Hollywood, please STOP remaking classic good movies, especially classic 80's movies. You haven't done a good remake yet and this one isn't going to change that at all.

The fuck trailer did you watch? It looks like a beat-for-beat remake to me, except this time they are all women...great. Even saw where the ghost leaving her body would be their slimer. Now what will be their Sta-Puft??? Its like the force awakens, except with likely shit production value and a only a fraction of the sentimental pull to overcome the cheesy callback script choices.

Hell they even have the ghost in the library scene, but there version doesn't look creepy or funny like the original.
