I laughed at the trailer. Not the whole thing, but parts. I expect Wiig and McCarthy's performances to be worth my time.

I completely disagree with that. 80s movies just had far less censoring than today's kids movies.

Hell, the amount of Ghostbusters themedeverythingback in the day should tell you how wrong you are.

Ghostbusters cartoon, shitloads of toys, clothing, lunchboxes, etc.. you name it. Every kid I knew saw that movie by the time it rolled out to VHS. I was 7 in 1984 for release and had tons of Ghostbusters themed "stuff". (The cartoon came out in 1986)

Sure, the merchandising got targeted at kids after it was a success but when I said it wasn't made for kids I meant it. Like Chuk said it was for all audiences. If the first movie had specifically targeted a younger audience it would have beenterrible.It probably would have been much more like Ghostbusters 2. Which was terrible. This new movie feels targeted at a younger audience which is a good way of not connecting with anyone.
