Bill Murray was funny in Ghostbusters 1. Everything else was very 80's nostalgia and outside him wasn't much more than above average. Sorry, old timers.
Ramis was a great writer and director, but Feig is as well. I think Wiig and McCarthy can be great, especially when given liberty to ad lib, and the two of them are closer to Murray than Ramis and Akroyd were in terms of comedic acting. The other two are largely unproven so who the fuck knows.
I'm going to see this premiere night. Then maybe again if it's really good and then make a collage of all my tickets to post here for Chuk.
