Fuck, just realized you can shoot the green birds. I missed so many.

Also, ram barrels in the lake, they give a shitload of silver and they spawn constantly.

Playing this on a Samsung ks8000 and PS4 pro and holy shit!! This game looks amazing! I didn't think they could do much better graphics wise from HDZ but they did. Just beat the Stranger, what a great fight! Really looking forward to getting more into this.

Finished the main story and optional bosses today and just want to second/third the feelings of holy shit. This game really was incredible and justify's the PS4 purchases as much as Bloodborne or Horizon Zero Dawn. It's crazy how deep and much there was to this game while still leaving a huge hunger for more.

Buddy asked me if this was worth buying a new TV and PS4 Pro for, told him it was absolutely worth it. I thought H:ZD and UC4 set the bar high for visuals and this one completely obliterates it. That plus the stellar gameplay and story easily make this a must play game even if you don’t own the console. Can’t think of many games that are in that category and I’m only just getting to Alfheim.

This has to be one of the best games I have played in my entire gaming life. If you don't own a PS4, go buy one, it's that good. The game is more than what I had expected and my expectations were pretty damn high. 11 out of 10.

Minor spoilers
I just got the dwarf armor and freed the third dragon, Mimir is talk about getting his other eye back. I assume I am near the end, either way I am confident I have all the stuff I need to clear all paths. I may check a guide for finding all of odins eyes and maybe even the valkryies, might be the first game I ever platinum.

While I do have some gripes about the game. It's been pretty fantastic so far. I think the map is the game's biggest problem. It wants to encourage backtracking and all but at times backtracking is super annoying to do.

That and I really hate the camera. Otherwise it is fantastic. This game is what makes 4k a true god damn pleasure on the Pro. My game whore friend keeps demanding that I play with 60 FPS or the game is literally unplayable to him lol.

Most games with "performance mode" will never sustain 60fps so its gonna be bad times for him if hes a PS4 player.

I slotted luck early and kept it going, I have upgraded every rune, purchased all skills and sitting on a fuck ton of XP. Hopefully XP will mean something again soon, even if I can transfer XP to mats or something.

Also this game suffers from same thing the witcher games did, combat gets way easier later on and punishingly difficult early game.

My main combat technique is....

(very minor ability related spoiler)
running laps around the room while Boy shoots the bad guys with arrows.

I mean I will get up close and personal with big groups of trash mobs, but even with a high defense Kratos armor seems to be made of papier mache
