I'm sold, definitely. But some of the CG looked kinda bogus? Statue of liberty and the battle-ships especially. That being said, I really look forward to this. Fuck trailers but this one got me psyched.
That Statue of Liberty threw me at first too, until I realized it was the one in Vegas at that theme hotel, and it looks pretty damn close to that.I'm sold, definitely. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla_(2014_film)This is the coolest thing I've heard about it, is this true?
I'm jaded enough that I'm assuming suck no matter how nice of a trailer they can make.
At the 3D Summit conference held in September 2010 at Universal Studios, producer Brian Rogers confirmed a planned date of 2012. The reboot is a live-action project featuring a fully computer-generated Godzilla. Godzilla will fight at least one or two monsters, rather than simply the military as seen in Emmerich's 1998 remake.[30] Rogers also confirmed that the two Godzilla head designs that were floating around the Internet and rumored to have been designed by Legendary and sent to Toho for approval were fake, and were just simply fan-made. He also went on to say that he and Legendary Pictures wished to revive Godzilla in the same fashion Legendary revived Batman.
What the hell do you expect them to show to improve it? Tits? Godzilla literally eviscerating children? Its just a destruction porn monster movie.i dont think it needs an R rating, but if it did have one it they wouldnt be limited to what they can show.
you are a weirdo. you dont need excessive gore and sex to get an R Rating. violence and profanity alone do the trick. think die hard with a 30 story lizard. What the hell do you expect them to show to improve it? You are a dumbass. How are you as old as me and this dense. Its a fucking special effects vehicle opening at the beginning ofsummer fucking blockbuster season! This movie is about one thing, and one thing only. Making giant piles of money. They want to maximize audience and ticket sales. They want it to be friendly to 7-11 and soft drink endorsements. They do NOT want to literally keep 50-75% of middle American parents from bringing their 8-10 year old kids to this thing. It will be just adult enough to cast broad appeal and just tame enough not to exclude pre-teens.you are a weirdo. you dont need excessive gore and sex to get an R Rating. violence and profanity alone do the trick. think die hard with a 30 story lizard.
Uh, Die Hard had plenty of blood and obvious gunshot wounds, so that's a pretty terrible example but it's you so stupidity is expected. The violence in PG-13 movies is always very sanitized.you are a weirdo. you dont need excessive gore and sex to get an R Rating. violence and profanity alone do the trick. think die hard with a 30 story lizard.
this is what i meant.. pg 13 violence always feels like they are holding back. the only pg 13 film i ever saw that wasnt like that was indiana jones and temple of doom. that shit was insane.Uh, Die Hard had plenty of blood and obvious gunshot wounds, so that's a pretty terrible example but it's you so stupidity is expected. Temple of Doom was PG, it was one of the reasons the PG-13 rating was created.this is what i meant.. pg 13 violence always feels like they are holding back. the only pg 13 film i ever saw that wasnt like that was indiana jones and temple of doom. that shit was insane.
And really it was just two things, the ripping out of the heart, and the gross-out scene with the monkey brains and the eyeball soup. The latter of which seems impossibly tame now. The heart seemed a bit hardcore for PG at the time, I'm not even sure it would be today. Nothing else in the movie is any worse than anything in Raiders. Hell, just the face melting during the Raiders finale is as bad as any part of Doom.In the early 1980s there were complaints about violence and gore in films such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Poltergeist, Clash of the Titans, and Gremlins which all received PG ratings.[8][9] Steven Spielberg, director of Temple of Doom, producer of Poltergeist, and executive producer of Gremlins, suggested a new intermediate rating between "PG" and "R".
