They haven't really played up the idea that guests are protected in Westeros although I'm sure that they will before the Red Wedding. Regardless of that though, I don't think that kind of shit carries any weight north of the wall.

I don't think Craster was necessarily helping the white walkers. He was doing what he had to to keep himself and his little incest farm alive. He appeases the white walkers, he appeases the Night's Watch, neither of them kill him, or at least that's how it used to go.

She went from a shrewd, powerful, awesome character to an indecisive wimp, who got lucky to pull her ass from the fire. I mean I mean Mirri Maz Duur is the same character as the Green Grace, conquered religous figure befriending Dany and coercing her into making mistake after mistake. So yeah, I see everything in Mereen as one big string of failures and blunders--with some pretty big character regressions.
That's pretty much how I feel.

Additionally, the time period between where the tv show is now and where Dany is in the books is just one big circle and superfluous.

How can you find Jaime annoying?
I'm not sure if it's the smug self righteousness or the general unctuousness or the pervasive smarminess or just that I've always thought Sir Lancelot was the shittiest knight.

TEAM GAWAIN FOR LIFE, BITCH.

Plus he looks like Captain Starbuck from Spaceballs. You can't just let something like that slide.

Edit: We haven't seen much change in him in the show. Not personality wise. What we've seen in the show is him feeling like a pampered prisoner guarding roberts door, to him being an actual pampered prisoner sitting in roberts cage, to him being a less pampered prisoner being led around by Brienne, to him being an abused prisoner at the hands of the northmen. The only reason you're given to like him in the show is because he's handsome and somethingsomethingchivalry. But he hasn't done even one decent thing (besides stopping Brienne from being raped). Not one decent thing, and plenty of indecent things. But he's handsome. That's really it. Fags.

Theon is a much less annoying brand of idiot. At least he comes by his idiocy honestly. Theon's just fucking dumb. Jaime is just fucking rotten.

It's like Brienne said in that episode. He's nothing but a coward.

Maybe losing his hand will make him courageous. And I hope so. But we haven't seen that yet. So far we've seen a sister-fucking, child-killing, lying piece of shit who wouldn't even fight Boromir fairly and couldn't even control his own small squad of men. He's got nothing but a name and a pretty face.

And maybe some potential to stop sucking.

My guess is that they will have Sansa promised to Tyrion and then LF telling Sansa he has to go, which combined together will destroy Sansa. By making it clear that he is leaving and then waiting a few episodes (or even next season until we see him again), it will make it quite a surprise when Sansa is snuck out of the wedding and he is revealed.
Yeah when the had LF come out and tell Sansa flat out he was taking her some folks were wondering where the fuck Dontos went, guessing he'll still be showing back up.

They had the scene in season 2 where Cat meets Frey and is very adamant about getting her grub on to make sure she was protected. I think....fuck. I'm blanking here a bit. She definitely made a point of it somewhere, so all they'll really have to do is make a minor reminder that it's a thing.

Ya, Jaime got pissed when that other guard interrupted the fight. Before then, it was just a 1v1 situation.

The only reason you're given to like him in the show is because he's the best swordsman in the land and because he's hilarious when he clowns on EVERYONE.
ftfy.

Another reason I like Jaime is that the portrayal of his love and relationship with his sister is very complex. He has an incredibly deep love for his sister (perhaps brought on by them relying on eachother for comfort given their father and general family situation), but he also seems to have a low opinion of her and seems disgusted by their relationship. I'm not a fan of incest (or of fictional love in general) but their relationship is one of my favorites in the series.

Same here. Liked her character quite a bit at the beginning of the series - but the way she was written in ADWD shot her down to (not quite yet) Cat levels of stupidity. Her chapters until the very end of the book were some of the worst in the entire series.

I hope Sir Dorito is cut from the tv show. His character never made sense to me.

I don't see Jamie as likable at this point as he just seems too "mary sue" you like him because you want to be him type character. I just don't, so I don't find hime likable. He saved Brianne and I'll give him credit there and maybe he does redeem himself. Up until two weeks ago I would have been happy to see him swing like a dozen others in this show.

The Blacksmith isn't heir to the throne but he has a better case for the throne than Joff. Which is why Cercie killed all the known bastards in the city.

Isn't 'Mary Sue' a term that is supposed to be applied to characters that are basically "too perfect"? Jaime hardly strikes me as that.

I don't think she spoils anything in this video, but does give some good insight to the Lannisters for sure.
