Martin said his two favorite characters to write are Tyrion and arya, so it makes some sense.
Does that mean they die soon or what, you think? :SMartin said his two favorite characters to write are Tyrion and arya, so it makes some sense.
I expect this to come true. The Red Wedding is probably going to do more to boost this show's future viewership than anything else so far. There is so much buzz around after that episode that it's pretty nuts. On Rich Eisen's NFL.com podcast yesterday they had Aaron Rodgers call in and all they did was talk Game of Thrones for 30 minutes. After all the new people get caught up on season 1-3 this offseason I expect a pretty big increase in the viewership for season 4.
Bran could only do that because he was a Greenseer. In the book it said that only one in a thousand people are wargs and only one in a thousand wargs are Greenseers. The wilding was able to jump into the other humans body because he died--I'm pretty sure the book even says that it can only happen on death, in that final breath a wargs powers increase a certain amount (Maybe I'm remembering wrong). However, from everything we've seen "blood magic" is really just normal magic that's been supercharged with someone dying or being hurt--so the only way for a normal warg to inhabit a human is probably for them to die.Depends on how far she is able to develop her warg powers without tutelage. Bran was able to learn how to affect humans with his powers on his own, but that likely had a lot to do with having been crippled. Either way, it stands to reason that it's at least possible she could stumble onto that power. Even if she doesn't, a fully trained faceless man with some of the powers of a warg on top would be a devilishly hard person to track down, even for other faceless men.
A showdown between her and Jaqen at some point would seem inevitable.
Ok I forgot that Bran was extra special. Still, a faceless warg is a scary concept, even if she isn't a faceless greenseer.Bran could only do that because he was a Greenseer.
So basically wargs are all Azazel from the movie Fallen.Bran could only do that because he was a Greenseer. Finale of Soprano's iirc was talked about often, more of it was speculation on the ending and what people wanted it to mean, but it was a pretty big deal at the time.I was thinking the same, people were blowing up all social media with the red wedding for the entire week after. Has any TV episode in the history of TV done that?
My roommate swore the series off saying it wasn't for him. Bought into the buzz about the red wedding and has since finished season 1-3. Anecdotal, but whatevs.I expect this to come true.
Most of my co-workers know I watch GoT and almost none of them do. After the Red Wedding all of them came up to me and asked what all the buzz was about. That one single episode might have created more cultural buzz then any other single episode of any other TV show I know of. It has amazed me that no matter what walk of life people are in they all seemed to have heard about this Red Wedding episode. Its actually been pretty amazing to see happening. People who had no interest in GoT before now will want to see what all the hoopla is about and will watch seasons 1-3 on Netflix. I am expecting season 4 to put up record breaking numbers. Whether or not they can maintain those numbers who knows, but the season 4 premier should set some records for HBO.
If thats true though, then Drogo is one of the dragons, the baby is one of the dragons, and that Mimi is one of the dragons? Whereas all three of the dragons are friendly to Dany, and Mimi wouldn't be...I think he's warged, and is going to be our intro to another level of it...dead people who live on in Dragons, Trees, longer lived stuff than wolves, birds, and bears. That's why I said a few pages back about finding out WHO the dragons really were (I imagine in the distant past they were all Targs who warged upon death into a dragon) and how Targs controlled them and possibly losing their ability which is why Rhaegar and Lyanna are so important.
Anyway. Years to find out, but fun to speculate.
Given the above, we believe the strongest candidates from the above timeline-focused analysis are Rhaegar and Lyanna, Eddard and Ashara, and Eddard and Wylla in order of plausibility (most to least). Robert Baratheon seems entirely ruled out of all the potential combinations, while Howland requires great amounts of supposition to explain certain details. Aerys Targaryen with Lyanna is very distantly possible, but there is no supporting evidence.
Excellent post. I'm confused why it didn't foster any further discussion.Aeron tongue punches Cthulhu's fart box.
Joff scenes are hilarious but not because of Joff. It's hilarious seeing his Grandfather & Uncle treat him like a little child.Joff is hilarious as shit. The scene where he was wanting to give Sansa Robb's head on a platter then he got sent to bed without supper. Holy shit I was dying the entire time.
"LOST is the worst show ever made!"I was thinking the same, people were blowing up all social media with the red wedding for the entire week after. Has any TV episode in the history of TV done that?
yeah that's the theory I'm going with. Meera Reed being Jon's twin sister is another good one.I've yet to complete even the first book but my grand theory on how everything wraps up is simple:
The series is titled "A Song of Ice and Fire", that said:
The obvious:
A massive battle will occur between White Walkers (ice) and Dragons (fire).
The surprise:
We will discover Jon Snow as rightful heir to the throne, being the son of Rhaegar (fire) and Lyanna (ice).
