im not. i love charles dance. been a huge fan of his since that horrible schwarzenegger film. he is the highlight of every tv show he appears in. when he was a witch hunter on merlin he made everyone look bad. all i said was when his character meets up with tyrion in the loo his brother can fill up the void his character is leaving behind. im not saying charles dance can be duplicated, just that his character's brother is equally strong in his own way.

their characters are equally strong, i did not say their characters are equally important. and you are crazy if you think sean connery could suck at anything. and dont give me that alan quartermain shit in LoEG because that movie sucked but connery was badass.
Thank god for sean connery turning down roles i say. He declined to play gandalf, because he didn't see the movies becoming a success. He declined magneto because he didn't think it could become a franchise.(McKellan thanks him twice) and he declined playing morpheus because he didnt understand the story....small note, they wanted will smith to play neo.
Let's face it. Connery made some good movies, especially james bond. But by god he has an awful long list of terrible ones, and is well known to drive directors insane with changes and demands...a road bruce willis has turned into.

In the books you really get the essence of Tywin being a ruthless dick who cares about no one but some of his family. In the series I feel like he isn't exactly portrayed the same way. I mean, there's the scene with Tyrion where Tywin basically bitch slaps him around, and a few other small moments, but I'm wondering if people will get the same satisfaction when he's shot in the dick that I felt when I read the books. It's tough to separate my feelings and truly rate his "dickness" on screen vs. in the books, so maybe I'm a little jaded.

True, I guess the Shae stuff will go a long way if they do it right as well. I just hope it's not like Roose Bolton where he's kind of in the show then one day he's just like "YOURE DEAD ROBB STARK" and everyone goes "oh,that'sRoose". He was more prominent in the books.

I know he was there, but everyone I talked to who didn't read the books were wondering who stabbed him at the Red Wedding. They may have thrown his name around, but a lot of people didn't know he was Roose Bolton until afterwards.
