I know that the people who have read the books are giggling at our "confusion" now but I feel sorry forthem. They can only sit back and critique the show based on the interpretation in their head. Which, while overly detailed is still only catalyst for confusion astheywatch the show.

While the amount of enjoyment must be massive having completed the books I still am extremely happy I did not read them. Each episode makes me salivate at the opportunity to delve into the books once GRRM has "completed" his story.

They can never enjoy the tv show the way we can, it's called jealousy.

p.s. Oh and shit also another thing about the episode, I'd never let a man I tortured shave me with a straight razor!! Crazy bastard indeed.
Not crazy at all. Theon has been conditioned. That's what Simon was telling his father, and when his father decided to be a dick about it that's what Simon showed him instead. That's kinda the entire point. Simon is very good at prisoner management and interrogation and because of it was privy to information that his father did not have and probably would not have even thought to ask. He turned a worthless hostage into a thrall and an asset. It's like an extreme dickless stockholm syndrome!

That's why the father is even willing to "reevaluate" his bastard status. Son got skillz.

EDIT: I am wrong, the stone is missing right after she talks to Olenna like Grimm's picture shows. Her braid is over the missing stone for the rest of the episode.
Yeah, Olenna moves her braid over the top of the gem, then takes it out underneath her braid while pretending to stroke her hair. Even knowing it was coming, it was pretty damn subtle, particularly given the camera focus was on the right spot ;p

Fucking his sons whore with his own dick seems like something entirely beneath Tywins dignity. Tywin seems like the kind of guy that would give her to his favorite guards as a reward and then throw a few nickles at her afterwards. Not that he's too dignified to fuck a whore. Just that he's got too much respect for himself to fuck THAT whore. And whatever pillowtalk game she runs on Tyrion... Twyin ain't got no time or interest for that shit.

In short, she charges more than she's worth. And Tywin has made an entire life out of knowing exactly what everything is worth.

I don't see how a Tywin fucks Shae subplot is worth anymore more than a cringe or an eyeroll.

I don't expect much out of a story that chops dudes dicks off for fun, has brothers fucking sisters in the high tower, and murders central characters for the shock value.

But I do expect a little more effort thanthat.

Oh... and something about snow zombies. Weren't there supposed to be snow zombies? I'm pretty sure someone mentioned snow zombies a few years ago.

What ever happened to the snow zombies? They walk slow, even for zombies.

I wanna see a Caligula movie starring Jeoffry.

I seriously wanna see that. I'm gonna miss that prick.

I watched the show with my wife (read the series) and my sister and her boyfriend (show only). I had to hold in my smile leading up to his death.. I knew it was coming and it felt so awesome. Both of the other two were cheering and laughing when he died, you could feel much rejoicing happening. I asked them who they thought did it and they think Dontos. You'd have to seriously be paying attention to the old hag to really notice the missing jewel on the necklace, it was seriously subtle and I don't even know how you'd notice it without pausing it.

I enjoyed Loras' quip about Jaime not marrying her either, excellent.

I'm actually wondering if Tywin might be killed earlier in the season than we think. I haven't read the rest of the episode names, but I did read that the big events this season will be the assault on Castle Black. I wonder if Tywin will be killed in episode 6/7 with the assault on 8/9 and lady stoneheart revealed on episode 10 right at the end. Although I'm not really sure how much of book 4 will be coming in this season.

Also, Tommen looks old as fuck. In the book wasn't he like 5 years old at this point? I remember him always pouting and crying and wanting puppies and shit.

Joffrey was a bitch so he died like a bitch - he didn't deserve an honorable death and he did not receive one.

Figures the Patriots fan would want to see honor given to Joffrey. He's basically the Tom Brady of the universe.

Exactly. He was too much of a coward to ever put himself in a situation where he could be killed quickly and cleanly. And a King like that is gonna be killed at some point. It had to be poison. They couldn't even Lee Harvey Oswald him, because Jeoff wasn'tquitedumb enough to go out into public anymore.
