I don't know anyone who hates Lady Stoneheart except I guess Adam12Sean and Sylas who thinks having a guy running around with a wolf head would be cool in Westeros.
Lots of people hate her. I certainly do. She basically ruined the rest of the Brotherhood (or at least made all those much more interesting characters pointless). She doesn't even give us Stark revenge, because we see more of her when she is trying to kill Brienne and Pod then revenging on Frey's.

I agree with Sylas when he says she is nothing but a weak character that exists only to impede other better characters.

That's the biggest problem I have with LS, is that the focus of her story thus far is attacking her most loyal knight. It makes her the Catelyn Stark (as in stupid, misguided and acting against her own interests) of revenge monsters.

From Eye's Gawker link:

Martin's editor also recently announced that the author may extend his already-sprawling fantasy epic from seven books to eight-which would've delighted fans if they weren't being tortured by the wait for book six, the partially-completed Winds of Winter.

I think my biggest issue with her is that it's a cool idea, a revenge zombie, but she doesn't really get much mention at all. It's just a handful of mentions here and there, and like you said, the bulk of it is her trying to kill the one person who was loyal to her.

Cat was a terrible character, and UnCat's only redeemable factor is that she's a zombie. Any other character would've been more enjoyable as a revenge zombie.

Zombiewolf Robb mounting a destrier with 20 bannermen knights and raiding Frey and Lannister villages actually sounds cool.

UnCat is only really interesting because of all the possible ways she's likely to end Littlefinger's story. Littlefinger running into ZombieCat (who has somehow learned about his role in bran/ned/robb) at the end of his storyline is exactly the sort of cosmic fuck you GRRM likes to roll with.

Yeah I agree with Grimmlokk.

I like Lady Stoneheart for the same reason I like Sansa; potential. In my mind they have potential to turn into great characters.

I feel like sansa seems out of place compared to the rest of the starks, the rest of them have some kind of uncanny characteristic (magical almost). Sansa seems like a lame duck. I hope you're right and she develops into something with more substance.

I guess maybe I am entranced by the possibilities of the arcing storylines that can come from LS. Yes, we've only seen little of her - but I think that's the point. It will build up and people will be talking about seeing her, but it will still be confusing because no one will believe it. Then she will rape Cersei repeatedly, over and over, again and again.

I always had the theory that Sansa lost any magic she may have had when Lady was killed.

She's going to become the female Littlefinger. The show is already painting it much more overtly than the books, but that's what I'm hoping happens.

I get that, but there's no magic in that you know? Maybe brodle is right and the wolf dying took her magic away. But I mean, Arya Bran and Jon all have cool shit coming up (Visions/Skinchanger/Greensight) whatever the fk. With the added twist of Arya and her coin/shapeshifter connection.

Sansa just gets to play politician... where's her lust magic or whatever. Waiting to see some oh wow moments with sansa and not just a black dress every episode. Like love potions, hypnotics etc.

Only a few more days to go, then we have to wait for 10 1/2 more months. Not fun. I'm looking forward to Sunday though.

There's a quote from GRRM somewhere at a signing or something where someone mentioned the Sansa/Lady thing and he commented. I can't find the exact quote, but it's basically someone implies that Sansa is no longer really a Stark since Lady died and GRRM sort of agreed. Can anyone find it please?
