I guess the TV show won't be letting us know where whores go. They pretty blatantly confirmed the Mountain = Ser Robert Strong (not that there was much doubt). Overall they just tried to cram too much into one episode and it felt rushed.
They could have done without the Jamie/Cerseri fucking scene and the Ygritte funeral. Way too much time wasted on stuff that didn't need to be wasted. Wasn't the horn revealed by now in the books? They can't cut that out can they?

Great episode and finale. The Hound vs Brienne was great. People who are hating on this show are just clever little twats with a mouth.

Some friends of mine (book readers) were upset that "they tried to cram too much into this finale". I laughed. This is epic TV.

Great episode, the hound's finish was so well done and emotional. The mounted charge was amazing. The skeleton fight + wizard fireballs was great.

My only complaint with the Leaf vs. Skeleton fight was that she was throwing the fireballs, and throwing them like a girl. Sorry Ladies.

I am not happy that the Hound is dead and the Mountain lives. Although I did find it intriguing that the mad scientist maester said that saving him "will change him".....Frankenstein mountain perhaps?

Dunno, they might take it past where we're at. Or show random stuff that only he could see.

The Jaime Cersei fucking scene was the only real thing that was wasted time, ygritte scene helps bring more pathos to John Snow.

The Brienne/Hound fight was pretty fucking awesome. It was right up there with the Oberyn/Mountain fight, imho. No Stoneheart but I guess they need to save something for next season. I have a hard choice to make next season and either watch it and be spoiled because the next book isn't out or just pass on the season and wait for the book. Argggh... that fucker better get the next book out ASAP!

Edit: No Lannister shits gold line... pretty bummed about that. Big book change in that Varys doesn't leave Kings Landing because he has to kill the other Lannister that becomes hand(the name escapes me atm) iirc.
Pretty sure Varys disapeared in the books, too, right? No one could find him after Tywin's death, or am I remembering that incorrectly? He sneaks in during AFFC through the hidden passages to kill Kevan. But he is gone in the books, we just never knew he was "gone" gone; everyone said he was hiding in the catacombs. (Again, not sure if I'm remembering it right.)

I thought the fight between the Hound and Brienne was done really well; but christ, they are making Brienne out to be a fucking terminator in the series--Loras, Jaime and now The Hound. Seems kind of annoying given how they humanize most of the other "warriors" in the show by showing that in real combat, you win some, and you get your ass kicked,a lot(And end up someone's prisoner, or on your ass surrendering or fucked up if not out right killed).

Also, I guess that kills the theory of Jojen becoming Warg food for Bran. Episode also killed my theory Varys kind of coerced Tyrion's hit on Tywin; very obvious in the show he was shocked as hell.

Overall though, really good episode, enjoyed it a lot.

That's correct. Varys disappears and Qyburn takes over as Master of Whispers.
