yes, this is my point, everyone goes around saying how she truly loves her children and i have not said this is completely untrue, i am sure she does love her kids, but she loves herself and loves having power much much more. its why maggy the frog's prophecy hit home to her.

Re: changing the tone of Tyrion killing Shae.
The makers of the show aren't so big on the morally 'grey' aspect as Martin was. Tyrion's just about as close to a bankable 'hero' the show has, and you know there's be a whole lot of pissing/moaning/feminazi ranting if he went up there and strangled the shit out of Shae in a homocidal rage. Same reason they glossed over his falling-out with Jaime.
