That gives me an idea for a youtube video for a fake show intro. Oberyn's skull being crushed with that "da da da" sound effect ;p

Cersei is crazy, emotional and irrational. Her irrationality forwards the plot and keeps the characters in motion. Trying to find a great strategy or meaning behind it is useless. She truly believes she loves her children, but she's too incompetent to realize what she does to them. After Joeffrey a rational mother would figure out her molycoddling was a prime determinant to his evil.

Pretty sure bookfags are more curious WHY Jaime kills Cersei at this point; not how or when. But casting Maggy and young Cersei (imogen) for the prophecy next season is gonna be tricky since the show hasn't established that Cersei is the eldest sibling, whereas the book has mentioned that Cersei was born first several times by the time we get to the definition of 'valonqar'. Though I'm inclined to believe that the producers learned their lesson from chekhoving Tysha's reveal three seasons too soon and now they want to setup Cersei's (or anyone's) downfall at least within a year or so prior from the event. So if they were gonna have Aegon/Connington hook up with the High Sparrow's popular rebellion to overthrow Tommen to fulfill that part of the prophecy they would've introduced aegon/connington by now.

prediction for season 5: Brienne encounters LSH. Brienne avoids hanging by revealing that she knows the whereabouts of Sansa and possibly Aria, and LSH goes to the Eyrie to kill Littlefinger.

Brienne vs Sandor was basically fan faction. And it was so great that I don't care in the slightest. It's like throwing in an extra boob scene just because boobs.

Now, if they had gone full on Temple of Doom and had Arya and Pod having their own fight, I might have thrown up a little.

So like there of us were disappointed with the last greenseer?

Skip the children flaming balls of gay there would be plenty of budget for the cgi. And it is more likely to provide a reusable cgi template for future episodes.

Unless there is going to be an army of small white kids throwing (like girls, wtf, you can magic up some fireballs but not a throwing motion?) fireballs at zombies...

You could've easily done the greenseer without CGI... would've been cheaper to have a molded rubber mask and costume to provide the roots effect. In fact they did the same thing for Jaime's hand: they could've blue-screened it like they did with Lieutenant Dan's legs in Forrest Gump but they just did a prosthetic. Hell, they could've shown the skeletons littered all over the place as older/deader greenseers and saved themselves a few seconds of monologue exposition.

Point is they had a ton of ways to do the greenseer's rooted-through effect with a FRACTION of the cost of that skeleton fight, but they didn't. So they must have a multi-season narrative reason to show Brynden as a hippy gandalf. Maybe they want the actor to be recognizable as his "younger self" if they ever want to do a flashback.

Except The Hound had some charisma and decent swordplay, and Brienne does not. Another interesting actor/role bites the dust.

The Hound and Bronn were the two most convincing regular fighters in the show, and now they're gone =/

I don't mind shows killing off great roles (Boardwalk Empire killing Jimmy Darmody was brilliant), but they have to replenish the talent if the show is to continue. I hope GoT casting can pull through the cannibalism.

Brienne has been knocking it out of the park on the show. That fight scene, which of course was half hers, was fucking awesome. Saying she has no charisma and isn't a convincing fighter is flat out horseshit.

edit: I'll take back the charisma complaint. She's supposed to be a stiff honor-driven knight.

But her swordplay is still helped out quite a bit by editing.

Actually, they divulged the info when Tyrion was talking about who was going to pay for the wedding. And yeah, it's a lot.
