I mean, unless it wasn't and she swoops in on Drogon with Khal Jhaqo's khalasar and they sweep up all those motherfuckers and she has a bigger and better force than she ever could have otherwise...Sticking around after she obtained The Unsullied was her worst mistake and compounded by every decision afterward that didnt lead her back to westeros.
Her decisions aren't good or bad based on whether or not they take her to the seven kingdoms.Sticking around after she obtained The Unsullied was her worst mistake and compounded by every decision afterward that didnt lead her back to westeros.
She mentions (or thinks) at the end of SoS that she will stay in Meereen to learn to rule or something. I can't remember the exact quote. It has been awhile, but didn't they partially explain her staying in the city as kind of a test bed for ruling Westeros?
Daenerys_sl said:That morning she summoned her captains and commanders to the garden, rather than descending to the audience chamber. "Aegon the Conqueror brought fire and blood to Westeros, but afterward he gave them peace, prosperity, and justice. But all I have brought to Slaver's Bay is death and ruin. I have been more khal than queen, smashing and plundering, then moving on."
"There is nothing to stay for," said Brown Ben Plumm.
"Your Grace, the slavers brought their doom on themselves," said Daario Naharis.
"You have brought freedom as well," Missandei pointed out.
"Freedom to starve?" asked Dany sharply. "Freedom to die? Am I a dragon, or a harpy?" Am I mad? Do I have the taint?
"A dragon," Ser Barristan said with certainty. "Meereen is not Westeros, Your Grace."
"But how can I rule seven kingdoms if I cannot rule a single city?" He had no answer to that. Dany turned away from them, to gaze out over the city once again. "My children need time to heal and learn. My dragons need time to grow and test their wings. And I need the same. I will not let this city go the way of Astapor. I will not let the harpy of Yunkai chain up those I've freed all over again." She turned back to look at their faces. "I will not march."
"What will you do then, Khaleesi?" asked Rakharo.
"Stay," she said. "Rule. And be a queen."

Yeah, the 13 ships would really have carried her entire army to the 7 kingdoms no problem! They talk about it, its very clear the 13 ships isn't nearly enough. Hell, thats 600+ Unsullied per boat, let alone everyone else.ya know like xaro tried to do before the siege on mereen.
Yes he wrote her to be a moron and she's being a moron, and people dislike morons, what's the issue? She does what she was written to do. If GRRM wants her to have a heart and hate slavery she will have a heart and hate slavery. I'm sure he'd LIKE to check with Astrocreep before sending every individual story bit off to his editors, but that's just not feasible...alas. Man that would have been a sweet story where her dragons grow in 2 chapters and she burns Westeros to the ground in under 100 pages though!
Had MMD "heal" Drogo, stuck around when her Khal died, trusted Jorah, trusted Plumm, trusted warlocks, left Astapor in "safe hands", let her baby slaying dragon roam free, drinking wine from strangers, etc. Please enlighten me on the poor decisions she has made. It seems to me she has made a great many good decisions. Her decisions earned her the dragons, her mini-khalasar, her unsullied and the freedmen of Yunkai, as well as the city of Meereen. Even staying in Meereen and marrying Hiz were good decisions that kept her people alive. Her decisions kept Meereen together and safe until the armies outside her walls rotted away. Certainly she has made plenty of mistakes along the way also, but everyone has in this series.
You saying all that is plot armor, well might as well say Tyrion is a moronic person that only survives by his plot armor. Look at all the stupid shit he has managed to survive. Or Jon Snow, Jaime, Brienne.
oh which thread is that? grim and i are the only ones who watch that show so it was only a question to him and if he answers its done. you can still continue your flash vs superman conversations in the meantime.Astro go to that stupid ass thread if you want to talk about stupid ass cars you stupid ass old fuck.
Seriously? Tyrion killing Tywin is a huge achievement of will on the part of Tyrion I think. It is a huge turning point for his character to be able to look this man who has been horrible to him his whole life, yet still desired his approval and so on. I think it is a huge thing on a personal level, even if no one else knows it happens.Yeah your list is like quarter the size and not nearly as potent, actually it's pretty ridiculous, killing his father whilst en-route to escape? So what?
