I am sad to say that I expect this, too.Either way, it's going to be kind of gay. Up to now it's been a political/military intrigue and it's going to culminate in some supernatural showdown with fireball-throwing children, dragons, and white walkers nobody is prepared to fight.
I see what you did there!Well this could be one way to get out of season 8 cast costs!
Everyone or just most of everyone? I mean, are you planning on the extinction of humanity?
Ser Friendzone dying beneath the Night King: This..is for...Khalessi
This is exactly what I'm afraid of as well. I don't see any way out of it, however. Unless he comes up with a fucking brilliant plot.Maybe the Bran arc goes nowhere, but we know Dany is coming to Westeros with her dragons. The wall will probably fall at some point. The Starks will eat shit due to being in close proximity to the wall. The children of the forest will have their magic amplified by the presence of dragons. Children of the forest + starks + dragons = WW battle that the children of the forest end up winning. Perhaps the wildlings (First Men?) take back some of the territory and the kingdom ends up divided.

He couldn't do that for 5 books, I don't see him doing it now. This is exactly what I'm afraid of as well. I don't see any way out of it, however. Unless he comes up with a fucking brilliant plot.
FTFYHe couldn't do that for 4 books, I don't see him doing it now.
I'm pretty sure what ACTUALLY happens isEveryone or just most of everyone? I mean, are you planning on the extinction of humanity?
He could definitely get away with it in books. Simple swords and sorcery is the stuff of most fantasy authors. He couldn't do that for 5 books, I don't see him doing it now.
1-3 were great, it didn't drag until 4 and 5.He couldn't do that for 5 books, I don't see him doing it now.
That's basically how the world works. You don't win ww2 without Normandy. No but it just falls into the trope then. Just to... LOTR-y to have an "epic final battle."
