Sounds pretty damn awesome.it would be like an ant "riding" an elephant.

So? The dragons where used as weapons - the human is riding them / controlling them ... the dragon riders don't really "ride" or "control" the dragons like we do horses with leads, stirrups, legs, spurs etc. to physically move and guide them- as yes a little ant human would not be able to "pull a reign" and direct the dragon- its a magical / mental link and control - so a giant dragon like that is an insane weapon to have that's nigh invulnerable to attacks and can burn down and entire castle / town (harrenhall) at ease.At some point a dragon that big becomes impractical. Like they talked about people riding the dragon, like a mount a 1 for one type deal.
If Balerion was that big a human would be so insignificant, it would be like an ant "riding" an elephant.
I'm picturing the amount of food you'd need daily for an animal that size. So? In the books they talk about how they basically did just saddle up on them. And they'd hit them on their flanks for the direction they wanted to go (counter to what you do with horses). As with Daenary's dragons, most of them most likely knew commands and if Tyrion is right they're highly intellectual so basically you just hop on and tell your dragon to burn their army and then knock over their tower and the dragon goes "Yeah, sure" and does it. People are thinking of dragons like horses or dogs, but they're probably closer young kids, intellect-wise.So? They're probably akin to crocodiles. They basically just absorb the suns radiation for thermal energy and basically lay and wait for prey when they need nutritional energy. Reptiles get most of their energy from other heat sources as they're ectothermic and don't use energy from food like we do to maintain homeostasis.Isn't the reason in most fiction dragons sleep so much is because if they're too active they can't get enough food?
Not sure if....What do you mean? Just make their wings really big...
Still doesn't make the books come out faster. What happens when you put them on a treadmill?
Heat rises, retards. Dragons are like balloons with wings

Yeah, IM pretty sure he made up the story so he could legitimize where Jon came from. He obviously needed to create a fiction around the fake chick who had his kid.Right, he was asked about a rumor he didn't create and basically said nothing. Easy to do as a one off, the other Northmen would probably never confront or even whisper this around Ned. All he would even confirm to Cat was that Jon was of his blood which could mean a lot of things.
