Bingo. This is what the best pulled pork looks like and it doesn't come from a crock pot OR a soo veed machine. Leaving it in there for 48 hours just means you don't know WTF you're doing. That's what I was thinking the entire time I was reading the last page of this retarded conversation.
I hadn't even heard of this shit until this thread where I had to look it up. It seems like a legitimate style of cooking, but one where it's ideally used on something you want to impart a strong marinade into. Pork butts don't fit that description. Something like chicken, sure.I think what Elurin is saying is that the pulled pork should be prepared i a sous vide.

Boiled chicken with some pepper sprinkled on it (after boiling, of course). It's much better than it sounds.Yeah, they were damn tasty too. However, Dirk, you cook like I should eat and it always sounds good.
Actually, I don't cook that unhealthily (that's a word?), but my big problem is lunch. I'm really limited by sodium and carb restrictions, so anything canned or frozen is out. I've got to start cooking for lunch, which sounds nice, but I'm lazy. I have no idea if this is in the right thread.

Freeze the left over steaks or what?I bought two beef tenderloins yesterday for $6.99/lb. Was right at $75 for both tenderloins.
Cut them up today, and we had enough for filet mignon for 6 people on Mother's Day, + 6 meals for the wife and I. About 24 - 8oz or larger filets for $75. Eating the first batch in about a half hour, I'm hungry.
Someone who makes 60 ravioli doesn't boil chicken. This is a troll post and should be infracted.Boiled chicken with some pepper sprinkled on it (after boiling, of course). It's much better than it sounds.
