Here's another challenge. I took possession of three pounds of fresh (never frozen) boneless chicken thighs this afternoon. I have about 20 people coming over tomorrow to watch football. I'd like to prepare chicken deliciousness. Suggestions? Appropriate supporting dishes always welcome, too.

Anyone here use MSG on a regular basis?

I made Chinese for lunch. Broccoli beef and chicken fried rice. It really made the beef and the chicken pop, but was meh on veg and rice.

I can't imagine needing the 7 quart one. I got the 12 inch skillet and I find myself wishing I had gotten the 10 inch, it is just bigger than I find I need. Although the 12 inch does fit a butterflied chicken well.

I put it on just about every type of meat. I have yet to have anyone be sensitive to it even though some people I have cooked for are organic nazis. It's good stuff.

They go on sale pretty frequently at places like Kohl's. They almost always make the front page of slickdeals, too. If you can wait, you can probably get one for under $250 on or around Black Friday. They were on sale for like $229 last year on Amazon and I didn't pull the trigger but wish I did.

I can't imagine cooking without my Kitchenaid. The thing is fucking 30 years old and works great. You can fucking do everything with attachments from grinding meat to rolling pasta dough. If you ever see a sale pick one up.

I managed to get mine for like 180 a couple of years ago. I got the smaller one, I think 4 or 4.5 quarts, and used one of those 20% off coupons that Bed, Bath and Beyond always has going.

If you bake just about anything, a kitchenaid should be a requirement. I haven't tried any of the attachments yet, haven't felt the need to grind my own meat or whatever.

I really want to get the grinder/sausage maker. But that is one of the things think I will get a couple of years from now. It would just sit in a drawer if I got it now.

Yeah. It is one of those things I really want to do myself but you just can't do everything.

The ice cream maker attachment might be worth it, though.
