The trailer has received 7 million views in 24 hours so I think it'll do fine in theatres.

As far as Dredd goes, I honestly have no clue why it did so poorly. It seemed like one of those fun action movies everyone would want to see on a Friday night.

Whoever ran the marketing behind Dredd will never work in the industry again as far as I'm concerned, no one knew the damn movie was out nor what the movie was. It did very well after the theater run ended, so it could have been successful had they even tried.

Guardians won't have that problem, between the Marvel name, Disney pushing it, and word of mouth from comic fans it will do well financially. Probably on a Thor / Capt level, not an Ironman / Avengers level, but it doesn't have to make over a billion.

The problem with Dredd was more than marketing, it had a horrible release date stuck in between competition of all types. Resident Evil: Retribution and Finding Nemo 3D released the week before, End of Watch and Trouble with the Curve opened the same week, Looper and Hotel Transylvania came the week after, Taken 2 and Frankenweenie after that.

This movie launches as Winter Soldier leaves the theaters this summer.

I bet one of those movies will reach close to Avengers numbers.

I agree, if you look at his profile video he looks way better in motion then in the still shots. Same thing for Gamora imho.

Also I'm glad they went with the old school Rocket proportions vs that Chibi version they currently have.
I never liked that super tiny version.

Next trailer will have Nova Prime, Roan the Accuser, and Yondu according to Gunn
