There's crafting and laurel vendors in every city and on the WvW maps. Also the passes drop from the event. For any open zone invasion event it's going to be a zerg, it's running a lot smoother than the karka event did at least. The event is to escort the citizens out of lion's arch, and to help the troops take down the aetherblade forces, you can get rewarded for getting a certain amount of people out. This looks like to be the first part of the invasion arc.
The backpiece you craft from the event looks really nice, only problem is for the glow on it you need to craft it to ascended, which means you need to get tailor, leatherwork, or armorsmithing to 500. Except people are saying the mats for tailoring cost like 300g and others cost like 50g to make it.
Funny thing that came from this, they destroyed lion's arch, moved all the essentials out to vigil keep in gendarran fields, except the crafters and laural vendors are now stuck on an airship which you can only get access to with an airship ticket that randomly drops, or buy a two week pass for like 150gems or the infinite pass for 1000gems. Talk about trying to squeeze money out for conveniences. Crafters available in all cities as usual, but I'm sure they will get some lazy suckers who will by the passes.
This. 100x this. Plus the fact I despise my Thief in PVE and really didn't enjoy WvWvW except for the brief time PRX was there. As much as I loved GW2 for a lot of reasons, the bad ones overwhelmed the good ones and I can't stay logged in anymore. Their 2 weeks patch cycle for me is a huge pile of junk, let alone the fact they often do zero-sum content, removing as much as they add.
I like their action-y combat, but I despise grinding tokens for gear, I hate speed running dungeons and don't really appreciate the no-trinity statement.
Add that 99,999% of the times you kill a boss of any kind, you get shat on for reward..
There is a small robot at the refugee camp outside Vigil Keep in Gendarran that will port you up to the Ship, not sure if it requires a pass, but I'd think not.For any open zone invasion event it's going to be a zerg, it's running a lot smoother than the karka event did at least. Message me ingame, red.2387.Yea, I'm trying to be one of the people that hunt's for the citizens but being a lvl 46 pushed to 80 I just can't hang unless with a group. I hope to knock out the achievements later next week when I'm off work if I can stop playing PS2.
Aight, I'll hit you up tues-thurs when I'm off.Message me ingame, red.2387.
Yup. One main raid to down the Miasma deployments, one additional raid to defend the rally points, and a couple groups going round to rescue citizens. x3 for each area (I hate Toxics btw. The Finish Him is a pain). It's starting to get organized, but the constant overflow is a pain. The Lion's Arch evacuation is actually not a zerg event, it turns out. If you zerg the individual events they will scale up and take too long to kill. The only way to win is to spread out and cover the events with 1-2 groups each while others actively go looking for individual citizens to rescue. A couple guilds formed to farm it consistently, it's pretty easy if everyone knows the plan.
