I think we already have enough gun laws in place. I was originally supportive of more restrictions on people that are mentally incompetent, but unfortunately its too easy for someone to be diagnosed with something like that because they are depressed and end up losing their second amendment right. As far as gun restrictions that should be gotten rid of, I think non-violent felonies should not result in a loss of your 2nd amendment privileges. I also think there should be nationwide reciprocity on concealed carry and the laws on suppressors are pretty silly also.
Homicides in this country aren't a problem outside of some cities that have gangs involved in the drug war. Mass shootings are statistically insignificant. If we want to lower homicides in this country, the best way to do that would be to stop the war on drugs and try to clean up the gangs in places like Chicago. Not restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens.
So if your answer is that any restriction on gun owners at all is stupid, why should I even bother engaging you? What makes you worth debating with?
Assume you mean at the federal level? None. At the state level, I live in North Carolina and am content.
