I assume this has to do with Rowling. She holds this IP with an iron grip. If she said no to movies, it means the premise was shit and or the money wasn't right.i have no doubts that the studio would love more fucking movies. They shit the bed with these dangerous beasts or whatever that bullshit was. I saw some of pt 3 while I was in the hospital. I shut the TV off. The first one was good. The second one was unnecessary.

From what I recall in early talks they wanted JK to hand the movies over and take her off of them entirely for the reboot sequels, (probably to appease the kids and say "hey look we got rid of JK Rowling")
It looks like that didn't happen, hence this TV show.
There was some effort to get her name reduced in the final Beasts movie as well.

The potter kids need to eat a bag of dicks. Daniel Radcliffe is a fucking nobody now. Emma Watson is a used up piece of meat after Weinstein made her suck his goblin cock. They're easily replaceable now. They waited way too long and no longer hold any sway. Get a new cast and move forward. JKR also needs to get her shit together and write new Hogwarts stories. Most people don't want to see the same story rebooted. They want new adventures.

I remember the Warner CEO was delusional to think he could get JK to let go of the films. Zaslav was equally delusional thinking the kids are somehow a box office draw in current year as you said. They are washed and they were so young nobody cares. Plus each of them has fizzled out. If I see any of the kids names on a movie it's more of a reason to skip it than check it.

I disagree. If she can make a bunch of successful books, there is a formula she knows how to create more popular stories. Honestly, I think she burned out on the whole thing and prefers collecting money and trolling social media rather than revisiting the potterverse and making something new.
I would like to know who advised Watson and Radcliffe to shit on JKR while their careers are already in the toilet. You never shit on the money. They should have begged her to include them in new potter projects.
