If you still consider the 6200, the 60 inch version is on the dell outlet for the same price and comes with a $200 dell card:

I got this to finally replace my 10+ year old rear projection dinosaur, largely because we are getting my mom a laptop for Christmas, so I can use the $200 giftcard towards that. I didn't really need the newest, latest, up-to-datest thing, but just something that hopefully will last until 4k is the new norm.
But the thing is, I don't have anything to hook up to it other than a Playstation. For the past ~6 months anything I've watched TV-wise has been through my PC, and I'm not entirely sure how to get the content over to the new large screen when it arrives. Some of the more major ones, YouTube, Hulu, etc, should just have apps that I can put on the TV, so that seems simple. And I'd assume that other not-so-legal streaming sites should work, provided I can get to them in the TV's browser. But, there's two things that I'm really not sure how to do: 1) Random crap I've already torrented, in a variety of formats - .avi, .mp4, .mkv, etc, and 2) Network Streams in VLC and/or Ace Player, mostly just for watching NFL.
Would Chromecast, or something similar, be able to do those things? Or can a smart TV itself play that stuff? Pretty new territory for me.
Alternatively, its only going to be ~15 ft from my PC, so I could just get a cable to connect the two. But the only display port I'd have open on my PC is the onboard DVI outlet, and I guess I'm not real sure if you'd need a full-fledged video card to run a 60" monitor. Also the audio would have to come through the 3.5mm jack, so I'm concerned that it would sound like ass.
Probably dumb questions, and possibly not the right thread for it, but I figure I gotta start somewhere. Any thoughts?
