Getting hit by a meteor has to be, without exception, the best death. See you'd be tempted to say heart attack while fucking. But there's 2 problems with that. Death is not instantaneous in that case, and you probably didn't pop one off. So it's more like ultimate fail than ultimate win. Getting exploded you would hear a noise and see some light and you'd just start thinking to yourself, "Hey? What's that?" and then you're exploded.

Doesn't sound superstitious to me. When you father and his twin die from what is probably the exact same thing then maybe that one thing is something to be concerned about. Whether it's cancer, or fibrosis, or a bullet in the head.

Edit: About the smoking... I wish I knew. If it's mostly a problem for you when you're drunkers then it's passed the physiological and is into the psychological. There's plenty of treatments available to kick the physiological habit... patches, gums, a needle in the nose (no lie, a shot straight up your nose). All I can say is that quitting smoking is a fight but in order to stop smoking it's a fight you lose. When that compulsion hits and you reach for the stogie my personal reaction used to be "NO. I can't do that!" and then it becomes a contest of wills that I'm just going to lose given time. But when the temptation hits and you reach for the stogie and you think, "Aww man. I don't do that anymore" then it becomes an admission of defeat. Either way you lose, so you might as well lose the way that results in less lung cancer.

Source: I'm quite the expert. I've quit smoking about 5 times so far!

Sorry for the vent time again, but here goes:

I had another heart attack yesterday. I was in the kitchen with the wife, and I started to feel dizzy and not so great, so I leaned over the kitchen sink to steady myself. That's the last thing I remember until coming to on the kitchen floor. My wife said I just crumpled to the ground, and few seconds later my pacemaker kicked off, and she said it brought me up off of the floor. I don't remember any of that.

It's a strange thing, feeling your body die piece by piece.

Part of me wants to stay around as long as I can with my lovely wife, but the other part of me wants to go quickly to avoid a painful, drawn-out existence. It really sucks that my wife is having to go through this with me, I don't know what I'd do without her.

Hey man just wanted to nitpick on your first sentence here. We post a lot of shit, we give eachother a lot of shit, etc.. but don't say "sorry" for talking about stuff like this. That is some heavy shit and I hope it works out.

That's one of the things that this thread is for.

It's damn sure NOT for medical advice beyond some really simple stuff that goes with, "Think about xyz and go see a fucking doctor".

And maybe sometimes a persons body does something that weirds them the fuck out, and its the first time... and a lot of times men in particular will be all, "Well that was weird. Wutdo?". They can post about it, and then we can laugh at them, and then someone else has had that thing happen and it can go with, "Yep. Sounds like you've got diabeetus. Go see a fucking doctor."

I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. I had an uncle who had a quadruple bypass and a myriad of other health issues about 25 years ago. He told me he was ready to go, just waiting for it. Then he decided to pretty much take control of his own health. He retired early from a killer stressful job, changed his diet, started AM walks, and made other choices. Now, 25 years later he's still around and in very good health. He was about our age when he had all the issues.

I'd read up everything you can on inflammation. I had a Doctor once explain to me that a ton of issues can be resolved simply by fixing inflammation in the body.

Be resolute to stick around long enough to see Pantheon released.

My foot pain has subsided for now. I think it was my work shoes as they say poor arch support can do that. I started wearing my Zigs whenever I'm not wearing my work shoes and almost all of the pain is gone. Thank god.. I thought my diabetes was creeping into the foot category already and I was worried.

I think you might be on to something with the inflammation, and yes, I'm going to read on it. I'm also trying to take some steps to get better.

And hehe, I'm sooo ready for Pantheon.

I'm gonna go find some Zigs, whatever they are.

Reebok shoes. They look a little gay or flashy but they're comfortable as fuck for exercising/walking/looking fly

How's your intake on your omega3/omega6?
I haven't been taking any supplements. I'm guessing it's fairly low, because I don't care for fish that much, I will eat it however. I do eat flax seed granola in the morning, but I have no idea how much it contributes.

Amazon.com: Carlson The Very Finest Fish Oil Liquid Omega-3 Lemon, 500ml: Health Personal Care

Take this twice a day (morning and night). Don't take more than the recommended amount per dose or you will vomit (trust me). It's easy and for me, does not produce the fish burp. If you like olive oil, it's essentially the same thing.

As well as:

Amazon.com: Konsyl Easy Mix Formula Psyllium Fiber, 300g Powder( 6 Pack): Health Personal Care

Take 2 tablespoons in a cup of water, stir vigorously and drink fast either before going to bed or in the morning. Make sure not to take medications 1 hour before/during/after drinking it.

Gravy sorry to hear about this... you are on the short list of posters that I would actually, probably want to meet in real life and hang out with.

Feeling is mutual, Eya. I really appreciate that comment because it's been a rough couple of weeks.

a_skeleton_03: I've heard that before, and actually I've taken Krill oil that wasn't fishy before, but it was pretty expensive. And where is your update? Are you back in the US getting treatment?

The problem with taking the pill version of fish oil is that they are often large pills and typically 2-3 pills. That's why the fluid is so much easier to take.

I am back in the US. Just got back this weekend.

My first appointment with my oncologist which will probably need to do some extensive workup just to see what he is stuck with is on July 8th. Going to be a long 7 days.

My first chemo injection (vincristine) has worn off and the allopurinol they prescribed to counteract it's side effects I eventually had an allergic reaction to that made me itch like a mofo so I stopped it. Still taking prednisone that the Germans gave me to be doing something.

I was just on prednisone because I was battling some sort of infection and my lymph nodes swelled up like crazy. I was on 60 mg for the first 3 days and I got so much shit done around the house that I was putting off. It was unbelievable the amount of work I got done and even being half sick too. Also gave me some really nasty fucking anxiety. When I cut back to 40mg a day it wasn't near as bad.
