That's shitty suin, but country to country the doctor you're seeing would probably start from scratch even if the notes were written in english.

He wants to treat his own diagnosis and there's a process involved. Even if it's the exact same diagnosis. It's not an ego thing, it's about patient protection.

But yes, that's shitty, and it's better coming out of his mouth than his receptionists.

So tomorrow I'm having the "Bentall procedure" to fix an ascending aortic aneurysm. The worst part is they won't record it so I can watch it at home with friends. Damn lawyers

I was released from the hospital july 29 the day before my 55th birthday. so they repaied my ascending aortic aneurysm, put in a new mechanical valve and did one bybpass.

Always point to 11 when the nurse shows you the little pain chart.

Ain't no one asking for honesty here. Just you are ethically and legally obligated to ask.

Mother-in-law got hospitalized with diverticulitis. Doctor said it's one of the more severe cases he's seen in a long time. Pretty shitty all around, might have to have a c-bag for up to 2 months if surgery is required.

Coincidentally it's getting complicated because she isn't shitting.

The doctor told her this was the one time in her life that someone wanted her to shit and fart as much as she wanted.

Well that's a bit of hope! Wait, that's the opposite of hope! hey!

They've gone in with the scope and done the CT scan to see it was diverticulitis though. Her white blood cells keep going down so they're trying some other stuff.

My thing was I had some "gut pain" that ended up being a swollen spleen. It was super easy to see once they tossed an ultrasound there. I am pretty sure they gave her the right diagnosis.

Yeah C bags are fairly foul.

Diverticulitis... the only time I would actually want to eat some clay and rocks just to scrape that shit out.

If only that worked.

She was upgraded to a popsicle last night, today she got jello. Things are looking up.

Was touch and go the first couple days. Don't think she'll need surgery but she's going to be in the hospital for awhile.

She's getting out today. Still can't eat solids, but has improved enough that she can leave - and with the blessing of a nutritionist.

Quick update.
The chemo is absolutely working. From what I can feel the tumor is about half the size it was when I started treatment. I had this past week off from treatment and have 3 more rounds in August to make it 3 months of treatment. I have a CT Scan scheduled for Sept 18th. After the scan we will make a decision to continue or not. The side effects haven't been absolutely atrocious so I think I could handle going until this thing is completely gone.
