Just saying that is exactly how I got my cancer diagnosis. Moderate discomfort in my spleen area. They thought diverticulitis and scheduled the colonoscopy, did an ultrasound of the area before going in to make sure all the organs were in the right spot and saw tumors inside my spleen. You might want to just ask for an ultrasound there if you haven't already.Well, this is certainly uplifting considering my circumstances..
Had my 3rd diverticulitis attack in two years so my gastro has scheduled a colonoscopy for six weeks out. Says after he confirms that it isn't anything except diverticulitis he wants to send me to a colorectal surgeon, since repeated attacks warrant it. Thing is, my "attacks" aren't nearly as bad as what people describe online, which includes extreme pain, nausea, vomiting, and the need for a 3-4 day liquid diet. I just get a tolerable ache in my lower left groin area that goes away after 3-4 days of taking antibiotics. Reading stories of people who have part of their sigmoid colon removed isn't encouraging.. At all.
Yeah, my biggest life paranoia is cancer since half my family has withered away and died from it. Thankfully I don't think it's cancer since a) my first flare up was two years ago and I figure cancer would have killed me by now b) I was so paranoid about cancer because of family history and the fact that my dumps were as thin as a pencil (which is supposedly a huge colon cancer indicator) that I paid out of pocket for a Cologuard test (which came back negative) just to assuage my paranoia.Just saying that is exactly how I got my cancer diagnosis. I do this even with a colon. Some days it's nothing but sugarwater and coffee. I don't get hungry anymore. I get headaches instead. The toilet bowl looks like a ritual suicide.pfft that's nothing. Thanks to no colon the way I splatter I get shit on the underside of the toilet seat. Looks like a small animal with brown blood exploded in there.
What is HFC? High fructose corn syrup?I do this even with a colon. Some days it's nothing but sugarwater and coffee. I don't get hungry anymore. I get headaches instead. The toilet bowl looks like a ritual suicide.
It's weird. I stopped getting hungry about 5 years ago. HFC abuse has fucked me up, gents.
No. I haven't been to the job site in 2 years. I didn't get all this stuff till after I had 5 days of mass coricosteroid infusion. Been a pretty steady decline since then. That's fucked up. Have you been around any hazardous stuff?
jeez man that's crazy, glad you're okI had an interesting start to this week. I was supposed to go to help the neighbors on Monday morning but I noticed some of my cows in the wrong pasture so I went out on the 4-wheeler to get them in before heading over there. My brother and his friend were visiting for the weekend to help me rebuild some corrals and they were down in the shop when I got back and asked them what they were doing there. They told me why and I immediately asked them again why they were there. For the next several hours I had absolutely no short term memory and did nothing but ask everyone around me the same questions over and over. They loaded me up and took me to town to the emergency room and I don't remember anything between Sunday evening and about 4 PM yesterday.
Had a CAT scan and ruled out a tumor/stroke/brain bleed (so I was told, have no memory of that either). Later my brother went out where I was chasing cows and found a rock with 4-wheeler tracks leading up to it that was flipped out of the ground and there were various items that had been on my 4-wheeler scattered around it so apparently I hit a rock, flew off the ATV and landed on my head, and then got back on and rode it home despite the fact that I had no idea WTF was going on. I was lucky those guys were there because who knows where I would have gone if I was out there by myself.
Around 4 PM my memory started working again and today my brain is more or less back to normal today although I still don't remember anything for about a 20 hour period. Spent the night in the ICU and was released yesterday afternoon. Doc says it's most likely a concussion which seems odd to me because my head never really hurt but he seemed confident of it and another doctor agreed. Also my right knee is about twice its normal size and I am on crutches. Going to make shipping season real complicated but I guess it could have been worse. Headed back out to the ranch tomorrow but with the knee immobilizer I'm not going to be able to even drive around let alone do physical labor during one of the busiest times of the year. Going to be interesting.
