Saw something today that caused me to just WTF. Someone I know was sick. Chest cold. Likely a virus as it is going around here.

So anyway they said they were feeling ill and was going to get some antibiotics. I just assumed they were going to the doctor. They sent me a pic of some Erythromycin in a box. Looked legit on my phone until I blew up the picture and saw it had fish on the cover. I asked where they got it and they said the fish store. They said surviliasist stock that stuff for the end of times. After /facepalming a few times I replied, well you know if it was the end of times and I was sick I'd probably be shoving that stuff in every orifice I had since there were no better options. Since there are better options you're nuts.

But it worked before they replied.

Yeah well look up "antibiotics and viruses" and then "confirmation bias". You'll have your answer why it works and why you feel the way you do about it.
Another problem here, and you'd have to look at the color of the phlem, but it was probably a viral infection rather than a bacterial one.

Your buddy probably just got a massive dose of omegas and got better.

On a related note: Vetenarians have the exact same general antibiotics that human doctors do. When the zombie apocalypse comes, raid the local vets office -- not the hospital.

What's your take on f. necrophorum as a cause of pharyngitis vs a strep A test? A well known ENT here is developing a strep A like test for it. I think that would possibly tripple the AB treatable pharyngitis (10% strep A + 23% f. necrophorum), and put a little more trust in GPs. Especially since the latter is an G neg obl. anaerobe and thus most likely sensitive to metro or some other drug not prescribed like candy (at least not here). I'd be curious to see pulmonal involvement as well.

Need advice.

Last month I had the ER visit and they prescribed me metformin to get back on track. Doctor can't get me back in until the 17th, prescription ran out today but had 1 refill.

Went to cvs and was denied a refill because it xame from an ER doctor.

What are my options here? Does Cvs typically pull this shit?

Only thing I have is 3 year old metformin that I don't trust taking.

Just need enough until the 17tb but cvs treated me like some junkie.

Doctor is a new pcp, so he won't write a script before I come inobviously . old doctor won't either.

If you can get ahold of the ER doc, he/she should be able to call it in for you.

3 year old metformin is probably better than none.

Eat vegetables. It sucks.

I would recommend putting some Preparation H up your ass for a week or two. You may be tearing some tissue. And quit straining if you are.
Not recently but it has been happening for years and overall it has been fine.

It happens even with very soft shits is what the main worry I keep bringing up. Then it looks like a blood and shit soup. Still bright.

No joke I am going to take a picture and post it.

Oh my colonoscopies were once in the military and once in Germany.

I couldn't find anything on toxicity for metformin except via overdose, but if you are worried, don't take it.

Edit: CVS are cunts for not filling it.

They might not be filling it because of your health insurance. It's a valid script with a refill. You should be able to pay out of pocket for the med regardless if an ER doc gave it to you.

i had the bleeding after shitting thing for awhile. never nearly that bad. for me, i realized that after i shit i need to just go lay down for a bit... i used to just go about my day and be active afterwards, but then the bleeding kept going the more i moved around. after a few weeks of realizing i need to take it easy post-shit, the problem went away.

kind of sucks having to plan out my shits at the age of 29, but oh well.

do you ever leak fecal matter? or just blood?

When I wipe after one of those there is zero brown that I can see on the paper. I only leak droplets of blood if I stand up without a wad of paper applied immediately.

Just saying what they told me, denied because it was submitted by an ER doc. They did not deny the original filling. I think the medicine is cheap but I wasn't given the option to even pay for it, they refused to fill it.

Your blood looks thin as shit. I'm diagnosing you with haemophilia and anal fissures. I recommend asians only for 3 months.

I would call and ask why a refill from an ER doc isnt' valid and if you can pay out of pocket for it. Most have an 800 number you can all for refills they can answer the question.

We had something similar happen with some albuterol and they refused to fill it. I asked why exactly and there was a limit from the insurance company as to how often they'd pay for it. This is something I had to practically pry out of the rep. I offered to pay cash and they filled it on the spot.

A lot of times the computer says "no" because of X reason and the person doesn't know you're willing to do something outside the box to get a med you need. Like say paying for it out of pocket.

Sorry a_skeleton_03...with that kind of bleeding (and if it's been happening for a while), I would recommend an immediate visit to an ER. That is some serious bleeding.

I understand behaviors and activities become normal to the sufferer over time, but jesus christ a_skeleton_03. There's no way bleeding that much every time you shit is sustainable. Get another opinion and try to find a doctor that has 20/20 vision this time or something. Clearly something is very wrong.
