I fail to see how that is even remotely related, the card is bad. You're thinking in terms of current meta though. We still don't know if we're going to see all the 25 damage from hand stuff get totally gutted.

Don't Renolocks run twisting nether? Isn't this just a second copy with card draw?I fail to see how that is even remotely related, the card is bad.
Does the possibility exist that I'll need a board clear on turn 8 or 9 and can't wait til turn 10? Ok TN is better.I only said I can see it replacing twisted nether. The only thing you have to ask is how often do you cast TN turn 8 or 9. Is it often that TN saves you turn 8 or 9?, then stick with TN,
I think you meant to say hellfire is 3 mana cheaper than flamestrike because apparently health doesn't matter.Doom! is pretty awful, but pretty par for the course with Blizzard never printing decent board clears. The drawback of milling yourself isn't even an issue, if you mill 2 cards and you kill six creatures it's a fair trade. The problem is that it costs 10 mana, the only way this thing is playable is if it clears the board, heals you for 10 and draws you cards, and even then it would be meh. Board clears are supposed to help you to stabilize as a control player, and if you haven't stabilized by turn 10 you're dead. Like this card is slightly better than Deathwing, and we all know how much play he sees in constructed, as a singleton in the greediest control or dragon decks as a turn 26 play. WOOOO BABY.
Symmetric board clears should be cheap, but for some reason flamestrike which is one sided is 7, and twisting nether which is symmetric is 8.
Where are people saying that? Reddit?Herald Volzaj seems to be this sets "mistcaller".......casuals talking about how its so OP and the new Dr. Boom
