Servers are up, apparently no ladder reset. Postponed until further notice.
Eh, at least it's not "server down until further notice" ^^. Really weird shit though, did they reset internally then reboot to check and it was all broken as fuck so they decided not to reset live? You'd think they would have tested that shit like a while ago since the season end was known for a while. Oh well don't care either way since I don't really play constructed.

That's something that really annoys me with this Beta. It's a fun game but the communication to the testers (and everyone else) is pretty miserable. We really don't have a good idea of what Blizzard is thinking in terms of balance and they change dates of things at the drop of a hat (such as open beta and now this ladder reset).

Edit: I just read their notification on the Season 2 delay and it sounds like it's bug related on their end so I'll give them a pass on that one (after all this is beta) but I still wish their communication was better.

They posted "Test Season 2 will last until the end of the month". The fact that they named it test season 2, and are saying it's a month long makes me think no open beta in January. I'd be glad to be wrong though.

anyone know how the 100 gold daily quest works?

Is it totally random ,or does it only come up once per season.

For instance I got one the day of the Blizzcon hearthstone tourney which would have been before they implemented the current ranking system. Then once again a few days ago

Totally random. Also, you can finish the quest against the AI opponents (I think it's the only quest you can).

So you're a Warrior making your picks for the Arena and you are on your 20th card. You already have x2 Fiery War Axe, x1 Arathi Weaponsmith, x1 Upgrade, x1 Arcanite Reaper and x1 Gorehowl. The 20th pick is between Slam and Fiery War Axe. You don't have a Slam yet or proper card draw, but you have x1 Auctioneer. What do you pick? I'm thinking Slam, but it's really tough.

Slam sounds like the easy choice since you already have 4 weapons and 10 more picks to get more (not that you need more)

I draft a paladin arena deck that I'm sure is insane, will go 10+ wins easily. Two sword of justice, 3 knife jugglers, 3 argent protectors, shatter sun, dark iron dwarf, argent protector, etc. Instead I go 1-3. Still in shock how that happened. First game vs a druid who coin -> swipe, swipe, starfalled on turn 3-4-5. My hand and board now empty against his 4 or so card advantage. Loss.

Next is against a warrior who uses cleave, cleave, fiery war axe, then later arcanite. Same scenario, my whole board/hand got two for one'd repeatedly, loss again. Third game I steamroll, as I expected the deck should. Fourth game against a mage. My deck had 7 cards with 5 or higher mana cost. I mulliganed a few 4 cost cards in my opening hand, get back a bunch of 5-6 cost cards. Then I draw the remaining 5-6 cost cards the following 4 turns against a mage who played minions every round. Lost on turn 6.

Yeah, I think everyone's had at least one area run like that - I had a deck with three legendaries (and useful ones, too - Sylvanas/Leeeeeroy Jjjjjjjenkinssss/Ysara iirc) and the rest was solid, stomped my first opponent, stalled out on the second (The Heart of the Cards wasn't with me

) andjustlost, and lost games three and four to perfect hands...for them. 1 - 3,thanks

Yeah this game makes me too mad to play lately. I got the above Warrior deck, so fucking good. 2 Upgrades, 2 Axes, 1 Arathi Weaponsmith, 2 Reapers and a Gorehowl and I never drew Gore or Upgrade and only Axe once in first 4 games. So fucking sick and tired of this RNGfest bullshit. The fun you have when RNG works in an average way doesn't out weigh the insane bullshit you feel when it works stupidly random and unlikely. Too infuriating, fuck that shit. First fucking Gorehowl in a Warrior draft and I play 6 games without drawing it ONCE. It's just not fun and too infuriating, too much RNG creates too great of a volatile playing experience. "YAY I got a Gorehowl, I can finally play with it and see what it's like! . Wait no, I'll play 8 games and never get to play it once, wow this really sucks!" etc. etc.

I really do LOVE this game too. In so many ways, but it needs a year of development and refinement and an expansion. So much just utter SHIT right now.
Pisses me off too much to love a game as much as I love Hearthstone but to see so many dumb shortcomings and so much lost/wasted potential.

I'm pretty convinced that casual mode is anything but. Pretty worthless right now, not sure what the answer is but I win more in ranked even when I'm not really ranking up. That shit won't be very friendly towards new players when this thing is in open beta or live. I feel like its loaded with high ranked decks farming wins.

I don't understand Casual. There is no MMR there whatsoever, so I guess it's good for high ranking people to dick around in? If you aren't high rank though, there is no reason not to just play ranked.

I had the craziest game today, makes me wish I was a streamer or fraps it or something. Game itself was pretty crazy with this priest managing to mind vision my flamestrike to give himself a shot later on in the game, but the game ended up with us both decked and nothing on the board but Mekkatorque's healing bot. Basically we just sat there hoping to get healed and stave off fatigue.

Minion swapping bug needs to be fixed yesterday. There is no reason this shit should still be happening when the bug has been around for 2 months.

I'm totally new. I just now spent $10 on my first 7 packs. But I watched enough feeds and read enough posts and I played for free as long as I could which allowed me to play in maybe 7 or 8 Arenas which taught me enough to make *something* in Constructed. My Constructed Shaman deck is way more fun than any other I've been playing so far. I'm sure I'm not the first to love Shaman but the way I play it is that I play a Totem (almost) every turn no matter what. Then, after the totem, I look at what cards are available to cast. Couple this with Overload and my deck can get very bogged down at times. But the mass of free Totems is usually all I need anyway. It allows all my other cards like stealths, silences. and burns to have more bang for the buck. My 'card draw' comes from the fact that most of the cards I am playing (totems) are not cards at all. I'm sure this deck will hit a wall eventually but I sure am digging it even now, even with limited rares owned.

There is a hidden MMR active in casual mode. Essentially, casual is also ranked, with it's own ranking, you just can't see what your casual MMR is. If you win more than you lose, you will only face challenging opponents in casual mode.
