Here's my proposed changes to N'Zoth Shaman.
Current deck is here:

pre.JPG

This is my version since the Tuskarr nerf and went 10-3 in Heroic Brawl and also just got back to rank 5 from 11 with it in ~2 days. During Heroic Brawl I was without Ragnaros in lieu of 2nd Ancestral Knowledge. Added Rag recently due to how strong he is, also makes Barnes even better.

After looking at the new Shaman Legendary, clearly N'Zoth Shaman should get even stronger. Most likely change is just nixxing 1x Twilight or Harrison for the Legendary and calling it a day but I think adding Jade cards is actually something to strongly consider.

Here's my new version

jade.JPG

The changes are:

Remove Cairne for Blackpaw
Remove Ragnaros for White Eyes
Remove 2x Twilight Summoner for 2x Jade Claws
Remove 1x Stormcrack and 1x Harrison for 2x Jade Lightning

Reasonings:
  • Jade golems will strengthen the early game, especially with Jade Claws and Jade Lightning.
  • Blackpaw is almost like Cairne where when she dies another minion spawns. In addition, you get a Jade Golem while playing her. She can also be self-killed easier than Cairne for those times you are avoiding Hex/Entombs. Much easier to Ancestral+kill her for additional Blackpaws.
  • Loading up too heavily with Deathrattles is a bad idea, you want to have consistency with N'Zoth and know what's spawning. Removing Twilight Summoners is ideal because with these more powerful cards you really don't want Twilight Summoners coming back.
  • Ragnaros is strong but he might be less reliable in the new meta when more floods are available, he was never core in my deck till recently so removing isn't a huge loss.
  • Barnes has 5 low rolls, 5 high rolls and 3 above average rolls in my current deck, this new version puts him at 4 low rolls, 3 high rolls and 3 above average rolls. Originally a 62% chance to have an above avg or better roll, now 60% chance to have above avg or better. Main reasoning is losing Twilight Summoners and Ragnaros. Before adding Ragnaros, Barnes only had a 58% chance.

  • Strategy would be to Ancestral White Eyes or Blackpaw in most cases.
  • When facing classes with Transform or Entomb you'll need to bait with Sylvanas and/or try to Ancestral & Kill your own Blackpaw.
  • Killing your own White Eyes is a risk but doable on 10 mana with Elemental Destruction+Lava Shock. Using Ancestral+Elemental Destruction would be very risky.
  • Against Aggro you can simply Ancestral your White Eyes all day.
  • Against Fatigue you'll prefer to Ancestral White Eyes.
Devolve is a card I would consider adding. Depends on meta for sure. If lots of control decks pop up then it would be very helpful to have a 3rd/4th "hex" affect.

I prefer Healing Wave over the new Heal Minion because it doesn't make Barnes worse.
Adding minions needs to be worth it.

He's basically a Reno Jackson if you combo with Elemental destruction. but he's good with lightning storm too. against aggro you can ancestral him for even more annoyance

N'zoth hand buff pally? Interesting card could even see play in zoo or reno lock with a PO it's a 4 mana 5 dmg aoe.

I'm really skeptical of Jade Claws being playable. Has a 2 power weapon ever been good enough in any deck?

None. BRM, TGT and LOE will rotate when the next expansion launches sometime in spring 2017.

The PO synergy seems most likely. I can't picture it elsewhere, too unreliable. however, aoe in druid is notoriously weak, but they may as well run Deathwing before this card.

In the deck I posted think of it as a ramp card for the golems. by the time you drop blackpaw you kinda want a 3/3 minimum. also it spawns a 1/1 or 2/2 which helps contest. if you draw it 30th then hopefully by then you're spawning a 10/10 if you already n'zothed back several Blackpaws.

Which expansion is rotating out when the new one comes out?

None

Zoo has never really had a board clear either, PO is the most interesting interaction I've seen mentioned for that reason. Doesn't seem consistent enough elsewhere. Things could change though under the assumption or hope that the meta gets shaken up sufficiently by this set.

Glaivezooka.

Although I'm all aboard the druid jade golem train I'm not sold on it for shaman and I think it may be too much to do jade golems and n'zoth. Only 3 deathrattles and 1 of them is thalnos so n'zoth will be a 10 mana dead card in your hand until you play pretty much your entire deck.

Well, doom hammer doesn't really count as it hits for 4 per turn. I did forget about glaive, though.

I'm not sold entirely either. I'll be tinkering like everyone else. I will probably test with Cairne back in and minus 1 Jade Claws. Maybe nix both and get back Harrison or Rag. Depends how strong Jade Golems become. Those "free" minions might add up.

I typically never play N'Zoth vs aggro anyway and against Control you never want to dump him 1st unless you know it's a killing blow.

The rogue dagger that deals damage on equip as well.
Only in the very early parts of HS, like up to naxx or so, then there were many better cards to play and it got phased out. Same for stormforged axe really, other than arena(but shaman being kinda garbage the entire time didn't help for that). Coghammer I think is the only real one. Still 2 damage weapons aren't inherently bad, they just need a good effect to compensate for the damage range. A lot of early game stuff nowadays is 2/2 or 3/2 so you can clear efficiently, it just gets annoying when it's buffed with argus or as you progress further into the game where 2dmg isn't quite enough to reach stuff with a spell on top, while 3+spell is generally enough.

Thing with Jade Claws, as I mentioned, it can spawn a huge minion later in the game.
I do want to add 1 more deathrattle back into my "theorycraft" version of N'Zoth shaman. Needs Cairne back most likely.
Also depends what else is released today.
It'll be a lot of testing. Adapting is key to deck building. Sticking with your 1st idea is never best.
