Owning a Huntard in the high win bracket of Arena with their own shit is good times. Too bad I didn't also have my Innervate and Nourish in hand

Again, I spent all of my dust making an oil rogue deck and my win rate is like... 20-25%. Deck is just not my style I guess. This game really frustrates me.

If you've already spent your dust, just keep practicing at this point. You'll learn it eventually and it's probably going to stay the best deck in the format until Blackrock comes out.

Playing oil rogue is tough but I would definitely keep at it as it will pay off over time. Lots of videos around to watch as well.

Could you link any of the more informative ones or offer any basic tips? I can't just seem to get a feel for it either, but I enjoy the playstyle and have all the cards.

I was watching this dude play rogue the other day on Twitch. It's all he seems to play.. and he's very good at it. Plus he plays fast.

Hopefully that is the correct link.

This guy BM'd me when he pulled off some lucky shenanigans. Needless to say, my counter BM was better. Ysera pulled me 3 dragons in a row. Never had her be so kind to me before.

Thanks for the replies.

I found a really nice one here too, justsain getting rank 1 on NA and playing up from rank 16 EU :Twitch

Dunno if oil rogue is for me right now. I have the cards, but even he was ending up on 4-5 hp with really close games at 16 rankings, what chance do I stand?

I have most of the cards (not harrison) for control warrior, maybe Id be better sticking to that till I learn the intricacies a bit better. Also got decent cards for priest/druid (just missing cenarius). Freeze mage looks really fun to play too, though Id need to drop some monies for antonidas.

Anyone know how viable freeze mage is right now? Played some last night and this morning on casual, and I really enjoyed the playstyle. And I am saying this playing it with only one doomsayer, zero ice blocks (lol) and no antonidas. Actually won quite a few games, vaporize was a nice substitute.

So now Im thinking of investing some money and dusting a few cards to make the proper deck, but if its just total garbage on ladder then id give it a pass. Im not wanting something capable of legend, just something fun and where most games I don't feel are an auto loss.

Echo control and freeze mage are just good ole fashioned trolley fun.

Freeze mage is a lot less viable since gvg introduced antique healbot.

Yeah Freeze Mage is bad against all the top decks except Oil Rogue. It really is a terrible deck for the ladder.

Just played an interesting Arena match against a Priest. I'm playing Druid and beat him, but was kind of crazy. He played 3 Mind Visions AND 3 Thoughtsteals. He played 6 of the copied cards back at me - 2 Sludge Belchers (I only had 1 - he copied same one twice), 1 Starfall, 2 Power of the Wild, and 1 Harvest Golem. Obviously, Mind Vision isn't the greatest card so not the best deck for him, and like I said, I won; but had never seen so many of those cards in one deck before.

You should be allowed to trade gold for a 1:1 disenchant/enchant like once a week or once a month. Or there should be a quest you can randomly get (on par with the rarity of the 100 gold quest) that once completed, allows you to disenchant any one card for full value. I think it would really help introduce new players to the game whom feel that acquiring even the most modest collection to be even slightly competitive, insurmountable.

Imagine if once a week you were allowed to trade 1 common for another common, straight up, one rare, one epic and one legendary. I think that would be amazing. Personally I don't need it, my collection is pretty complete, but I just opened my 3rd Bolvar last night and was thinking how much it must suck in particular for a new player to have that happen. They get so excited, and then it's wasted because of the atrocious disenchant/enchant ratios. Plus it would add a lot of excitement and depth to quests if you chose to do it that way. It would be like "Win 1 game with each class...Reward: Disenchant any 1 card for full value." It would exclude goldens.

Would such a thing really be that bad for Blizzard in terms of people paying for product? I doubt it, in fact I think it'd make players spend even more real life cash, because they'd have at least some small hope that they could acquire a collection with a little time, or at least a couple decks of their choosing.

I've been playing a lot of tempo Mage recently and its a solid deck. Paladins are rough though and, thanks to Trump, they're all over the ladder.

One of the keystones of the deck is a single counterspell. I've lost track of how many times my opponent has conceded after hitting counterspell on a clutch card. Most recently it was a Druid who played Force of Nature only to get it countered and immediately conceded. Because of mech Mage, people are conditioned to treat all mage secrets as mirror entity so they will play right into counterspell and it breaks their back.
