Yeah, dropped Emperor for a 2nd Sludge Belcher. Emperor doesn't work in Mage decks that aren't designed around freezing or stalling the game out.

So far liking the Flamewaker deck. I think a big part of the reason it works is because nobody knows what the hell it is. It's outside of the current meta so people aren't exactly sure how to play against it.

Yea, I ran against someone else using it (From here perhaps? Forget the name, was late last night, like 5am EST) and it definitely was neutered knowing the danger level to the FW's to target them early for sure. But as a rogue deck where no one knows how risky those FW's can be it compounds quickly.

It can also get some hyper quick wins at times too - had a few T4/5 wins last night with it. Fastest deck I've personally played.

Between last night and this morning, I've definitely noticed a difference in how people deal with the walkers, they seem pretty much insta kill this morning.

Would it be a good idea to try and use Archmage Antonidas instead of Emperor? And what card would you sub if you don't have Bloodmage Thalnos? Really liking the Flamewaker deck so far.

I'm reminded of why I hate Arcane Missiles. Missiles with spellpower. I need 1 to hit a minion. They all go face. Every time.

It's actually a problem I have with Hearthstone in general. There is SO much RNG and I'm unlucky to begin with. I know statistics will say otherwise that things should average out over time but they simply don't with me. If there is RNG involved, it goes against me.

The barriers on entry to this game are fucking ridiculous. I really want to get into it, but to do that I'm looking at like $300+ of an investment and the trickling amount of gold you get from playing is a bit a joke. Come on Blizzard.

They are insta-kill. That's why it's critical to not drop one until you can either protect it or get value out if it immediately. And if you can keep your Waker around for a turn or two, they win games.

This is a deck where going second is a huge advantage. Being able to play Waker on turn 3 and then coin out Mirror Images or Arcane Missiles is a great play.

uhhh, just depends really. There are several ways to get some early bonus packs and the only necessary investment is Naxx which is $25. It takes time to be very competitive but there are some pretty cheap decks out there for new players. The low rewards do suck but there are bots that can help with that. Just like any game, time investment is mandatory. Ive only been playing casually for about 8 months and have spent $50 total. I've gotten to Rank four(third month in) with one of those aggro decks. I don't have top decks for every class but every class has a competitive deck. It's really not that bad. I have a friend that spent about $100 dollars and was pretty competitive in 6 weeks which is on par for hardcore playing of a Blizzard game.

Counterspell is my new favorite card. Everyone thinks it's a Mirror Entity and if you can wait till turn 7+ and get a big spell like Lay on Hands or Flamestrike it's an insta-concede. Are most of the new Dragadin decks running Lay on Hands? I've seen it quite a few times the past few days.

mid/late paladin decks always runs lay on hands. So yes, you should be seeing it.

edit: Just got Rank 3 for my first time ever using the dragon paladin deck I posted earlier.

Record is like 17-4 atm.

Fawe: Not sure if the zoo I keep facing is a bad matchup for it but I went 0-4 with it before heading out to dinner.

If I could have more than 9 decks made I think I would actually spend money to get cards so I could fuck around with more decks. But I am missing a ton of cards and still feel like I'm at capacity for decks

Agreed, its very annoying to have 9 slots. Becomes a pain to even have any fun decks.

Yeah, before any more expansions I'd like them to make some basic UI fixes. At least 3 decks per class is absolutely necessary, and ideally make golden cards stack on regular in collection.
