I've bought Naxx/BRM, I actually did buy 40 packs of classic because I had Blizzard credit from something a while back. With gold/arena wins and the like I'd say I've opened 10 packs of GvG and 55 packs of classic.

I have most commons in classic with some odd exceptions, I am missing a lot of core rares, have few epics and few legendaries.

These are the legendaries I've got (non naxx/brm ones):
1x Flame Leviathan
1x Mal'ganis
1x Golden Grommash
1x Bloodmage Thalnos
1x Captain Greenskin
1x Leeroy
1x Baron Geddon
1x Dr. Boom


So I'm really lacking almost all the core legendaries and I have very little dust due to a lack of dupes.

I guess I'm at the point where I don't want to dump $100 into it if I've had such luck to begin with in all my pulls. About the only deck I can make (kinda OK) is control warrior since I have Grommash. Obviously Leeroy helps and Dr. Boom is great, but I'm missing Sylvanas, all the dragons, Black Knight, etc. I mean I'm missing 47 legendaries, lol.

Yea , just rode dragon pally back to 5 before season ends. Solemn Vigil is OP and exactly what paladin needed for card draw. Have been able to get it off for 0 or 1 mana almost every time.

I don't even load up on most of the dragons. I only use 2x Consort, 2x Hungry, Chrommagus/Ysera/Nefarious.

The other dragons are more suited to other classes that don't have consorts and can't expect to load up on the 8/9 mana dragon legendaries.

It just takes time. I've been holding at 2k gold and have purchased about 20 classic packs with gold in the past couple weeks. Basically whenever I get to 2500 or so I buy packs till im back to 2k.

I've spent maybe $250 on this game but main thing has been time. I'm missing 9 Legendaries and I've probably crafted my last 5+ since it's so hard to get 1 of the 9 I need.

Starting out though, don't be afraid to dust useless cards or cards for classes that you have no desire to play. I dusted tons of rogue/priest cards for a long ass time since I didn't like those classes. Focus on decks you want to play and work toward crafting the pieces. Sylvanas should be a priority for you I would think since she works good in control warrior and demonlock. Since you have Mal'Ganis you can easily put together a demonlock/demonzoo.

The recent demonzoo decks have cut Jaraxxus. Basically just need Sylvanas/Boom/Mal'Ganis

It might seem like a long ways off but once you start dusting useless shit you'll find yourself crafting Sylvanas (or whomever) in no time.

Nefarian is pretty nice when you get him off for 7 mana, and if it goes late game he can still help at 9 mana. I was able to play him 2x in ~4 games. First was against a control hunter where I played Nef on 7 mana. Got Deadly Shot and Cobra Shot. Both spells helped me clear Loatheb+Doggies from Highmane on next turn.

2nd time I played him was when I was winning hardcore against another Paladin. Ysera was already on the board and my hand had 10 cards. I played Nef and only got 1 card and it was Lay on Hands. I didn't need it obviously. I won in 1-2 turns after.

Firstly--and I don't mean to depress you--but you can't make control warrior. That is indeed one that costs a lot of dust. With that card list though, you ought to be able to make or are close to making (depending on rares):
- zoo
- face hunter
- oil rogue
- grim patron warrior

Those four decks are fine for laddering/earning gold. Aside from face hunter, they are all reasonably fun to play as well. Face hunter can actually be fun just for the scumbag factor anyway.

As far as dust/packs opened, just keep at your dailies. Cards come eventually. Also, if you're desperate for dust, Flame Leviathan isn't used competitively.

Yea I have OK control warrior (have almost all rares/commons/epics for it so it is OK) and decent face hunter deck but that's about all I can make at present.

If you have any luck with Rare+ gold cards, and if you - like me - have some classes for which you have the utmost contempt and that you're likely never to play, consider disenchanting them. I've only gotten like 5 gold epic cards, but 4 of the 5 were Hunter and Druid cards. Since I don't like the playstyle of either, BAM - free legendary.

In a pinch I also consider disenchanting gold non-minion cards. They're fancy, to be sure, but they appear and disappear. I pretty much never disenchant gold minions, though.

So I am trying to make a serious push to rank 5 or higher this next season and I want to start keeping track of my matches so that I can break out of this rank 9 - 11 funk. Any suggestions?

Offering suggestions when new cards are released is difficult. Get around people playing new cards by playing aggro. Face aggro, obv.

With that list you don't have enough big threats for control warrior's end game, imo.

How many cards away from oil rogue are you? If you have naxx and bloodmage, you ought to be most of the way there.

Yea I got murdered first time trying to gave him due too sheer amount of minion kill and construct spam but then used flame walker mage and got two duplicates off and it was down hill for nef pretty quickly.

Is Patron Warrior just really good against Face Hunter? I'm trying to get golden hunter and I just cannot win that match up. The fucking always destroy me with Armorsmith shenanigans

Xixo got legend 1st again today and he used Patron Warrior this time. It is good vs all but Handlock mainly.
