Here's a little thought experiment for you... what deck is a solid counter to all forms of Warlock (Zoo, DemonLock, and Handlock)? This is kind of tough since one is aggro, one mid, and one control. Maybe Control Warrior or...??

What do you guys think... what deck is best at handling all forms of Lock?

There is no such thing, and the metagame would be a terrible thing if there were. As for decks that match up decently with all forms of Warlock, double brawl control warrior with good draws in the zoo matchup. Or lightbomb priest with a one-off silence that you hope to draw for one of his Drakes. Those are probably the best general take-all-comers decks.

But a solid counter? Absolutely no single deck should ever be a foil to such a wide range of decks.

So here's a question. Why is nobody running Black Knight anymore? Sludge Belcher is in like 80% of the decks in the meta atm, and a few decks run other taunts as well. Is destroying the front half of a Belcher and getting a Yeti seriously not worth a 6 drop anymore? I get that the 6 drop slot is super crowded atm, but it's such a huge momentum swing and BK is even less likely to be a dead card than BGH.

Even aggro decks are running Dr. Boom so not sure about BGH being a dead card. I think there's just too much competition for cards in that spot, and if you went second you wouldn't be able to BK until they get a full turn from the Belcher anyway, which reduces the value some. I've seen it pop up here and there it's just not auto include like it was after Naxx

This game seriously needs a way to save and share replays. I just had the most epic win from a hopeless position, and it would be nice if I could save the replay and show a friend, etc. Seems like an easy addition, but I feel like they hold back on adding more features to the game just to make it phone friendly, sigh.

Yeah, I've always been high on tbk and even I'm not running him atm. I think besides the 6 slot being more contested. Just the game in general has gotten quicker/more aggressive. You can only fit so many 6+ cost cards into one deck so I think the question becomes which 6+ cost card do you remove for tbk? Most control decks will have sylvanas, boom, class legendary and you can only fit 1 or 2 other 6+ cost cards, of which there are a lot to choose from, without being super greedy.

Shieldmaiden replaced it in Control War
Emperor replaced it in almost every other deck
Warlock has no decks that need it
Control Hunter maybe but no legit decks atm, also Highmanes
Priest Lightbombs/Emperor
Druid could run but Force/Emp/Sylvanas + tons of 5s and 7s don't allow much room
Control Rogue maybe but no legit decks atm
Paladin maybe but too many 5/6/7+ cards already, hard to make room

So yea... basically only control decks would use it and Emp/Sylvanas + other cards are already in that spot. You would have to see a lot more big taunts. Belcher isn't much of a threat with only 3 atk power. TBK was meta when druids flooded the scene. Druid is still strong but not so common to sacrifice another card. If you experience druids 50%+ of your matches then perhaps consider it. Also if Paladin ever becomes meta you could tech it in vs Tirion.

I almost switched to double BGHs the other day. All of my losses while doing dailies were from boom into rag. Each deck was different outside of those two.

It's not about Belcher being a threat, it's about the huge tempo swing from destroying the front half for free. But whatever, I can sort of see why it isn't played.

Nonstop losses to mages who draw every single burn spell in their deck in their top 15, control v control matchups where I can't get a single draw spell despite the fact that my deck is probably 1/4th draw spells, or multiple people getting perfect dream into awakens combos with Ysera while I draw nothing but sisters and drakes.

Face Hunter is good against all warlock decks, the warlock needs a lucky hand to counter it. And their hero power accelerates the hunters start. Handlock has a best matchup out of the three but it ain't great.

I'm 12-6 vs warlocks with my freeze deck shrug. Not a lot of handlock being played and I almost always beat zoo. The losses are to kezan and answerless loatheb neither of which get run a lot. Currently trying a no frostbolt or ice lance variation.. they generally fill up your hand make you feel like sitting on them and freeing up 4 slots for more control and draw feels really great. Obviously burn is lower but you can plan for that. Not sure yet if this is better.
