That shit is all trash except the skeleton knight, which is at least worth testing.

Burgle looks fun though.

Oh RNG. I should know better.

After getting to rank 2 last season, I decided to give the good ole legend grind a try. My initial plan was to pick a deck and stick with it throughout the ups and downs. I decided to go with midrange hunter since it has a chance against almost any deck. First 2 days were real good. Second 2 days were a bit more of a slog.

I started today at rank 10 and 3 stars. My first 5 games were 1 zoolock and then 4 hunters in a row. I went 1-4. I decided to call an audible and switch decks to control warrior. My next 3 games were control warrior, mid druid, ramp druid.

The aggro just fucking dissapeared as soon as I switched to warrior. I should have known and just stuck with hunter the whole time. Today is not the day to buy a lotto ticket. Fuck.

Out of everything there, you think The Skeleton Knight looks worth testing? Really? It's far too fragile. Bolster is what is worthy of testing and we will definitely, 100% see people trying it out and it may lead to something. Even if you managed to replay Skeleton Knight every single turn, it's still too easily killable at 6 mana and in BGH range. You're paying 1 extra mana (Salty Dog) to maybe draw a card. And even if you use it to bait a BGH, that same BGH *can* then re-kill it the very next turn. 1 mana to maybe draw a card is bad. It's useless against agro and if you're playing against another control, you can easily lose the flip. Very meh. I'm not writing it off, but I don't see how this card is the one worthy of testing out of all the others. Not even close.

People on Reddit are saying you lose a joust if its a tie, if you played the card.

The correct play was to switch to face hunter. I find that it's often better to switch between variations of the same class rather than to jump to another deck type entirely. I mean with face hunter you still probably would have lost to control warrior, but you probably would have beat midrange druid and you might have beaten ramp.

I hear you, but I don't play face hunter so that was out. Was debating between zoo or control warrior. Beat the midrange druid with the warrior anyway. Back to mid hunter when I play later most likely.

I don't play face hunter
You're going to have trouble with an attitude like that. I'm not saying you can't hit legend without playing face hunter, but your attitude should definitely be 'im going to play whatever it takes to get the job done'.

Eh, if I don't make it, I don't make it. I think it would be foolish to all the sudden switch to a deck with which I have little to no experience. There are plenty of decks that I do enjoy, have more experience with, and that can be competitive. I prefer mid and control decks, so that is what I play. If I want to play aggro, I'll play a low curve Zoo.

Mid hunter, zoo, demonzoo, malylock, and control warrior should be enough tools in the toolbox if played well.

There isn't that much difference between midrange and face. You just play cheaper more aggressive threats and go face instead of making trades.

And for the sake of argument, if you played 10 ladder matches and most of them were against midrange hunter, demonzoo, and handlock? You'd be an idiot not to switch to face hunter since it has favorable matchups against all three decks.

That's why I rarely hit 10 or higher ranking.

I'd rather play the decks I find fun but not great, over deck that I don't like but are better.

I might change that attitude a bit though with the new reward system that has better rewards the higher you rank. At least until I get to a high rank, and then I can just switch back to fun decks.

I'm looking forward to the new cards even if they are a bit underwhelming...a lot seems fun...and I enjoy gimmick decks, and I can see a few possibility there. The decks are gonna suck, but might be super fun to pull off some weird gimmick once in a while.

This is one of the reasons people play agro to get under 10 quickly then stabilize back into whatever meta is running.

No one has time to ladder competing with outside the meta decks. Consistency is the goal.
If you know what's out there you can plan better.

new brawl is that almost each of your minions will get a death rattle effect: resummon another minion with -2 mana costs, you can build your own decks
Lil'Exorcist, KT and Baron Rivendare are pretty good here, as are silences and MCT

LOL and I naively thought we were sticking with inspire and trying to minimize RNG card effect = lose the game.

I like face Paladin more than face Hunter. Maybe not as effective in some cases but it feels new so its just more fun for me. Fast games usually.

The text specifically says you get a buff if the card you reveal costs more than the opponent's card, so that seems pretty straight forward.

New Brawl = plays lots of Silence and lots of Deathrattle. Although your minions spawned from things like Belcher/Shredder don't get the Tavern Brawl "buff". Not very interesting so far. I'm playing Handlock. I suspect everyone playing Savage Roar in t-minus 1 hour.

Shit & shit.

Anub is clever at least, but those both suck. Anub would be competitive with Boom as a 7 drop, maybe playable as an 8 drop, but he's garbage at 9. Aviana is garbage at 9 too. That ability is not so strong that she should have a 5/5 body.

That's probably the most depressing thing about TGT so far. Tons of great ideas behind some truly terrible balancing. Which means these cool ideas will never see major play.
